They Didn't Make the Cut

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Schwippert Ships Double

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Felipe Boianovsky had table neighbor Jan-Eric Schwippert at risk for 10,775 chips with {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, but his pocket pair was slightly inferior to the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} of the German. The board ran out {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Schwippert found some relief.

Coenen Busts Kornuth

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Chance Kornuth - €25,750 High Roller
Chance Kornuth - €25,750 High Roller

The full betting action is unknown but a tweet from Chance Kornuth about his elimination alerted us and there was just one big stack on his former table, which belonged to Kristof Coenen from Belgium. According to other players on the table, it escalated on the {J-}{8-}{7-}{2-Diamonds} turn.

Kornuth bet 1,800, Coenen made it 4,000 and Kornuth then squeezed to 9,200 before calling the shove of the Belgian with pocket jacks for top set. Coenen had the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the straight and the river blanked.

Moments of Silence

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Pedro Martinho Cabeca three-bet shoved for his last 6,100 chips out of the big blind and initial raiser Mariano Martiradonna called with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. If Cabeca was excited that his {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} improved on the flop {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}, he didn't show it. And by the time the {J-Hearts} came on the turn, the excitement was long gone anyways. A blank {5-Clubs} river busted the Portuguese and he walked out of the tournament area. No word, no drama, nothing. Only silence.

More than 50 players have been eliminated within the first four levels.

Farrell Bluffs Off Kyriakides

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

With the board already complete, reading {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, Niall Farrell found the perfect scare card to bet 4,200 with not that much behind. The first opponent folded and Miltiadis Kyriakides tried to get some info via table chat before also releasing his cards. Farrell cheekily flipped over the {2-Diamonds} and grinned "I had to."

More Counts ... Again

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Ivan Luca busted in today's single day High Roller, Igor Kurganov also just registered as did Tom Hall. The latter finished second to Dominik Nitsche in the UKIPT High Roller in the early morning hours and needed some more sleep.

Lodden Thinks, Calls, Wins

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

On the {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades} turn, Johnny Lodden bet 2,900 and Richard Dubini made the call from the cutoff. The {Q-Hearts} turn saw Lodden check and Dubini now fired a bet of 7,000. Lodden gave it some thought, made the call and Dubini rolled over his {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of tens. The PokerStars Team Pro had that beat with {K-Spades}{J-Spades} and scooped a nice pot.
