Buonanno Busts; Charania Too Late

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Mohsin Charania had increased his stack to six digits before the break and then came back too late to bust Antonio Buonanno. The Italian had jammed his short stack with ace-four, Stephen Chidwick got it in with ace-jack and Quan Zhou with ace-king.

The three-way all in went to Chidwick after the Brit spiked a jack to stay in the tournament.

Akhundov Scores Fortunate Double

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

A raising war resulted in Murad Akhundov, who finished 4th in the €50,000 Single-Day High Roller, to get his stack of 49,800 into the middle of the table. Table neighbor Tobias Reinkemeier looked him up and both tabled pocket pairs.

Akhundov: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Reinkemeier: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The flop {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds} seemingly locked up the hand for Reinkemeier, but the {9-Spades} turn and {K-Spades} river gave his opponent a flush instead.

Too Many Outs for Frank

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Short stack Patrick Bruel got his last 9,800 in with the {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} and got looked up by Christopher Frank with {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The flop {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} gave Frank two over cards and a gutshot, the {Q-Hearts} turn even a flush draw. But he could not get there with a blank {Q-Diamonds} river and Bruel doubled.

Stephensen Doubles Through Greenwood

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

We missed the first action, and got to the table as Sam Greenwood had 6,500 in front of him, acting out of the small blind. Felix Stephensen had 12,800 in front of him, sitting on the button. Greenwood moved all in and Stephensen called it off for 50,900.

Sam Greenwood: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Felix Stephensen: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Greenwood parted ways with the majority of his chips.

Adding Some Extra Spice to the Event

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Ole Schemion defeated Mustapha Kanit in the €100,000 Super High Roller a few days ago and both crossed paths in tournaments regularly. Kanit just entered after the dinner break and guess which seat he took ... just next to Schemion! This may very well bring some fireworks, so stay tuned for more.

Benitez Busts Kisacikoglu

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Orpen Kisacikoglu raised from the button and was called by Emil Patel in the small blind and Francisco Benitez in the big blind. The latter check-raised the flop, bet the turn and shoved the river of a board {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and Kisacikoglu was the only opponent to stick around.

With around 32,000 chips in the pot and having less than that behind, Kisacikoglu eventually called for 27,400 with {7-}{9-} for top pair on the flop and busted to the set of threes of Benitez.

Jacobson Check Calls

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Martin Jacobson made it 2,000 from the hijack and Patrik Antonius called from the cutoff. Pablo Melogno over called from the big blind.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and both Melogno and Jacobson checked. Antonius bet 3,000 and Jacobson made the call after Melogno folded. Jacobson check called another 9,000 on the {J-Diamonds} turn and the {6-Diamonds} completed the board. Jacobson checked, and so did Antonius.

Jacobson calmly rolled over {K-Spades}{J-Hearts} for a full house and Antonius mucked while heavily frowning.

Karmazinas Copies Salter; Busts Him

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Dominykas Karmazinas limped in and Jack Salter raised to 2,800 with the Lithuanian coming along. On the {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, Karmazinas check-raised from 1,600 to 4,600 and Salter then shoved for around 18,000 chips in total. The Brit took his stack in the hand, moved it slowly above the table and then let it splash in.

Karmazinas copied the move, though with far more chips, and called the shove.

Salter: {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Karmazinas: {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Andrey Pateychuk cracked a smile when he saw Karmazinas splashing the chips in and the Lithuanian also apologized to Salter once the board ran out with {8-Clubs} turn and {9-Diamonds} river. "It's all good, I have a second chance anyways," Salter said.
