"He'd already lost most of his chips before that," Isaac Haxton said, right after explaining that Haralabos Voulgaris busted out to Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody.
Voulgaris ran pocket tens into Cody's jacks, and that means that the renowned basketball bettor is no longer in the tournament.
It was unclear whether there was already a raise before, but Michele Bianchi from the button and Orso Chiarisoli from the small blind both moved all in one after the other. Vebjorn Monstad eventually grabbed his stack of blue T-5,000 chips for the call to put two opponents at risk.

The board ran out and the Norwegian busted two opponents.
Sarah Herzali raised to 1,300 and picked up five callers, which caused the Frenchman to laugh about such easy resistance. On the flop , the action was checked around to Patricio Rojas Parra and he bet 4,200. Mohsin Charania then check-raised all in from one seat over for what looked like 17,000 before Xia Lin also moved all in from the big blind for 21,200.
Herzali folded, claiming in table chat she had pocket deuces, and Parra called to create a three-way all in.

"You saved me," Herzali said upon seeing the cards of her opponents. The turn changed nothing, but the river gave Parra quads and eliminated a former EPT Grand Final champion.
After a relatively quiet day, Isaac Haxton has emerged as one of the big stacks in the tournament. We just saw Burak Cakmak all in and at risk for 29,000 and here's how the showdown went between him and Haxton.

The board ran out and Haxton raked in another sizeable pot.
On the turn, Paolo Compagno bet 2,500 out of the big blind and was called by the player on the button before the river completed the board. The Italian and his opponent checked and the pot was shipped to Compagno, who held .
Roman Korenev also added to his stack as well after defending his small blind against a raise to 1,825 by the player in the cutoff. On the flop, Korenev check-called a bet of 2,600 before both players then checked through the turn and river. Korenev announced jacks and his won the pot.
There are three PokerStars Team Pros participating on Day 1a and Jason Mercier is rather short. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier just busted an opponent to help himself above starting stack while Jake Cody is thriving.
The Brit just checked his option in the big blind on the heads up flop and then called a bet worth 3,500 by Raymond Langbraaten from one seat over. On the turn both checked and Cody then reluctantly called off a final bet worth 4,000 on the river.
Langbraaten showed and that was good enough to win the pot.
The action started with a raise to 1,200 by Erwann Pecheux, Kamran Aliyev called and Sean Winter called all in for his last 575 chips after having registered late. Natasha Barbour called in the cutoff and Gianluca Tenore now shoved the small blind for 5,375. Pecheux folded, Aliyev reshoved and Barbour got out of the way as well.

The flop came and that left Winter drawing dead and Tenore in desperate shape, needing runner runner outs. It was not over on the turn, but the river was a blank and Aliyev busted two opponents. Table big stack is Pedro Zagalo from Portugal.
Govert Metaal has been on a tear as of late, and he brought us up to speed by telling us what happened in a big pot he played against Thi Xoa Nguyen.
Metaal raised from late position holding and Nguyen called from the blinds, putting on the flop. Metaal explained how Nguyen called his bets on both the flop and the turn - which was a blank - and the river was the .
Nguyen lead out for 12,500 and Metaal raised it up to 36,000, and his raise got called. Metaal showed his straight, and Nguyen mucked.
A few hands later Metaal limped under the gun and Nguyen raised it up to 1,500. The player on Nguyen's left moved all in for 12,175 and the action folded to Metaal.
Metaal went into the tank for a while before making the call, and Nguyen folded.
