Uspenskiy Takes from Kanit

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Davidi Kitai raised to 9,500 and Mustapha Kanit three-bet to 27,000 from the button. Konstantin Uspenskiy then four-bet to 72,000 in the small blind and Kitai tank-folded, Kanit called. On the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, Uspenskiy bet 65,000 and that shut down all further betting action, as Kanit folded.

Adams Takes from Kisacikoglu

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On a three-way flop of {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Timothy Adams in the small blind checked and Orpen Kisacikoglu bet 17,000 for around half the pot from the cutoff. Daniel Dvoress folded on the button and Adams called.

After the {Q-Spades} turn, Adams check-called a bet of 27,000 and the {10-Hearts} on the river went check, check. Adams flipped over {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and that was good enough to win the pot, as Kisacikoglu mucked.

"Tight Check" from Leonard

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dario Sammartino check-called a bet on the flop then 47,000 more on the turn from the big blind against button Patrick Leonard as a {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} community rolled out. On the river, Leonard counted out his stack and took a few minutes before saying he was making a tight check and rapping the table.

Sammartino showed {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and took the pot with top pair.

Helppi Cracks Sammartino's Aces

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Dario Sammartino limped and then three-bet against Juha Helppi to see the latter call and head to a flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Sammartino fired a bet of 33,000 and Helppi came along to see the {Q-Spades} on the turn.

Now, Sammartino bet 58,000 and Helppi called before the {K-Diamonds} on the river completed the board. Sammartino shoved and Helppi called all in for 119,000. The Italian flipped over {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} and Helppi had that beat with {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for two pair to double up.

Yan Calls it Off to Double

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We found [Removed:17] facing an all-in shove from small blind Mikita Badziakouski on a board of {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Badziakouski had put Yan to the test for his remaining 146,500 with the pot already containing about 100,000. After forcefully shuffling chips for a moment, Yan called.

Yan: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Badziakouski: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Yan was in a great spot and held through the {8-Clubs} turn and {a-Spades} river.

Meanwhile, Steffen Sontheimer reentered and Dario Sammartino lost his remaining chips.

Kabrhel and Wheeler Nursing Short Stacks

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On the button, Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 9,000 and Martin Kabrhel called in the small blind. On the {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, both players checked. Kabrhel bet 10,500 on the {10-Clubs} turn and Thorel called before the {3-Diamonds} on the river triggered a bet of 16,000 by Kabrhel and a fold by Thorel.

One hand later, Jason Wheeler raised to 9,000 and Thorel called on the cutoff. On the {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop, Wheeler bet 14,000 and Thorel called before the American then checked the {8-Spades} turn. Thorel bet 35,000 and that won the pot without showdown.

Haxton Finds Kings to Double

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 10,000 and Isaac Haxton three-bet to 37,000 out of the small blind. Thorel moved all in and Haxton called. Both players turned over pocket pairs and Thorel immediately sighed, as he had the worse hand in showdown.

Isaac Haxton: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The board came {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Haxton doubled up with a flush for 225,000 to take a decent chunk of Thorel's stack.

Nariman Yaghmai Eliminated

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Down to his last 8,000, Nariman Yaghmai pushed all in from the cutoff. One seat over sat Mikita Badziakouski and he raised to 13,000 from the button. Sam Greenwood thought about it for a bit from the big blind but eventually folded.

Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Nariman Yaghmai: {Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and Yaghmai made his exit.

Tsoukernik Can't Beat Carrel

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Charlie Carrel bet 36,000 in position against Leon Tsoukernik on a completed board of {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Tsoukernik fired in a check-raise to 117,000 and Carrel was left a bit dismayed.

"I rivered something," he said with a sigh, stretching his arms. "I'm not that confident, though."

After another minute or so, Carrel did drop in a call, and his {a-}{j-} was good.
