"Tight Check" from Leonard

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dario Sammartino check-called a bet on the flop then 47,000 more on the turn from the big blind against button Patrick Leonard as a {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} community rolled out. On the river, Leonard counted out his stack and took a few minutes before saying he was making a tight check and rapping the table.

Sammartino showed {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and took the pot with top pair.

Adams Takes from Kisacikoglu

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On a three-way flop of {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Timothy Adams in the small blind checked and Orpen Kisacikoglu bet 17,000 for around half the pot from the cutoff. Daniel Dvoress folded on the button and Adams called.

After the {Q-Spades} turn, Adams check-called a bet of 27,000 and the {10-Hearts} on the river went check, check. Adams flipped over {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and that was good enough to win the pot, as Kisacikoglu mucked.

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Davidi Kitai raised to 9,500 and Mustapha Kanit three-bet to 27,000 from the button. Konstantin Uspenskiy then four-bet to 72,000 in the small blind and Kitai tank-folded, Kanit called. On the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, Uspenskiy bet 65,000 and that shut down all further betting action, as Kanit folded.

Max Silver Eliminated

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

With the entire board of {5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} already out on the table, Max Silver was facing a big decision. Silver had checked from the big blind and his neighbor Charlie Carrel had just pushed all in for effectively 86,500.

Silver took his time making up his mind. He started talking to Carrel, who at one point decided not to reply anymore. The clock was called on Silver and with still some time left, he eventually called.

Carrel tabled {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} and Silver flashed {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} before he got up and made his exit.

Steffen Sontheimer Eliminated

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Steffen Sontheimer
Steffen Sontheimer

Steffen Sontheimer was first to act and raised to 10,000. Action folded around to Daniel Dvoress in the small blind and he three-bet to 33,000. Timothy Adams folded his big blind before Sontheimer pushed for 118,500. Dvoress spent some time in the tank before he added the needed chips to call.

Daniel Dvoress: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Steffen Sontheimer: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

Julian Thomas, seated one table over but now standing behind Sontheimer because there was someone in the tank on his table (more on that later), started cheering on his friend Sontheimer.

The {Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}-flop and {8-Hearts}-turn were both harmless, but the {A-Spades} on the river meant Sontheimer was eliminated.

"O M G!" said Thomas while Sontheimer just started texting while getting up from the table.

Aldemir Takes from Wheeler

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Koray Aldemir limped in from the small blind and Jason Wheeler raised to 11,500 in the big blind, Aldemir called. On the flop of {K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, Aldemir check-called a bet worth 10,000 and did so again on the {10-Clubs} turn for 20,000.

The {5-Hearts} fell on the river and Aldemir checked the third street in a row. Wheeler bet 37,500 and Aldemir spent a long time to make a decision. Just when the clock was about to be called, Aldemir called and Wheeler instantly mucked his cards to forfeit the pot.

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Paul Newey was in the big blind and checked a board of {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}. Daniel Dvoress put 40,000 in with the pot already containing north of 75,000. Newey moved all in for what looked to be 140,000 total, and Dvoress thought a couple of minutes and mucked.

At another table, Nick Petrangelo sat down, having used his allotted reentry.

Carrel Takes on Silver

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Leon Tsoukernik had busted just before the break and on his former table, Charlie Carrel just took on Max Silver to boost his stack further.

Silver raised to 10,000 from the cutoff and Carrel called on the button, Ole Schemion defended his big blind. On the {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, the action checked to Carrel and he bet 15,000. Schemion and Silver called before the {4-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Silver checked again, Carrel bet 40,000 and Schemion folded, Silver called.

The duo then checked the {4-Spades} river and Silver showed a queen, Carrel had {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for the superior kicker and claimed the pot.
