Big Bet Poker

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

From the cutoff, Sergio Aido raised to 4,000. His neighbor Isaac Haxton on the button called, and so did big blind Ben Heath.

Both Heath and Aido checked on {5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Haxton bet 8,500. Heath folded instantly, Aido called.

It went check-check on the {A-Spades} turn before Aido checked again on the {Q-Spades} river. Haxton thought about it for just a bit before he cut out two 25,000-chips and tossed in his 50,000 bet. Aido released right away.

"How much was the river bet?" Martin Kabrhel asked while receiving a muffin and carrot juice from the waiter.

"Fifty," Haxton replied without blinking an eye.

Small Pot for Lebedev

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

On a heads-up flop of {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, Anthony Zinno bet 3,500 in the hijack and Sergey Lebedev called from one seat over. The duo checked through the {3-Spades} on the turn and Zinno bet the {Q-Diamonds} river for 6,500. Lebedev called and was shown the {K-Hearts}{10-Spades} by Zinno for queens and tens. Lebedev rolled over his {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and claimed the pot.

Carrel Builds Stack Further

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Steffen Sontheimer made it 3,500 to go from under the gun and Charlie Carrel three-bet to 13,000 from the button, which only Sontheimer called. On the {K-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Sontheimer checked and called a bet of 8,000 by Carrel before checking again the {J-Hearts} turn. Carrel now fired a bet worth 26,000 and that did the trick to force a fold from his opponent.

Newey Doubles Through Wheeler

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Paul Newey opened early and got one caller before Jason Wheeler, who was raising his fair share of early pots, repopped to 16,500 in the small blind. Newey wasted little time before tossing in 50,000, and Wheeler came along to see {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop. Both players checked, and Wheeler bet 50,000 on the {10-Hearts} turn. Newey called, leaving himself 84,100 behind. On the {9-Spades} river, Wheeler thought awhile and then announced all in. Newey called fairly quickly and tabled two red kings to beat Wheeler's {a-Spades}{k-Spades}.

Silver Pays Off Troyanovskiy

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Action folded to Max Silver on the button and he raised to 4,500. Big blind Vladimir Troyanovskiy called and both checked the {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop. Troyanovskiy bet out 5,500 on the {9-Diamonds} turn and 12,000 on the {K-Hearts} river. Silver called both times, but mucked upon being shown {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} by his Russian high roller opponent.

Nariman Yaghmai
Nariman Yaghmai

Nariman Yaghmai raised from the button and Nick Petrangelo defended the big blind to see the flop come {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Petrangelo check-called a continuation bet worth 2,500 before doing so again on the {7-Spades} turn for 7,500.

After the {J-Clubs} fell on the river to complete the board, Petrangelo checked for a third time. Yaghmai bet 15,000 and Petrangelo called to tap the table in defeat as soon as Yaghmai had flipped over {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a pair of aces.
