Lanini Doubles Without Much Sweat

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Davor Lanini shoved for 119,000 from second position after [Removed:432] opened under the gun for 25,000. [Removed:433] didn't seem happy about it but called with {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. He was smashed by {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} and asked for two sixes. No such miracle occurred as the board ran out {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Saout Flips Well Against Lanini

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

From early position Antoine Saout pushed all in for 159,000 and Davor Lanini in the small blind reshoved for more to force out Pierre Morin in the big blind.

Antoine Saout: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Davor Lanini: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Spades} flop was a big sweat for Saout, who not only had to dodge the two over cards but also all the spades. However, the {3-Clubs} turn and {4-Clubs} river both blanked to let Saout double and leave Lanini short once more.

Dumont Sends Gruissem to the Rail

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Philipp Gruissem
Philipp Gruissem

Philipp Gruissem made it 27,000 to go and Nicolas Dumont on the button three-bet to 75,000. Gruissem four-bet all in for around 330,000 and Dumont snap-called.

Philipp Gruissem: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Nicolas Dumont: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The board of {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} failed to improve Gruissem and headed to the rail. He will very likely jump into Day 1 of the €25,750 High Roller soon, though.

Koplimaa Loses the Rest

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Down to 32,000 after posting the big blind ante, Markku Koplimaa called off after an open to 35,000 and a call. Saar Wilf and Mark Demirdjian checked down {9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{q-Clubs} until the river, when Demirdjian bet 40,000 and Wilf immediately mucked.

Demirdjian turned over {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for jacks full and Koplimaa sent {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts} into the muck and headed to payouts.

Koplimaa Left With Crumbs

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Carl-Fredrik Tingvall raised to 26,000 and was called by Dan Abouaf. In the cutoff, Patrik Antonius made it 105,000 to go and Tingvall moved all in to force two quick folds.

Soon after Markku Koplimaa started the action with a raise to 26,000 and picked up alls by Antonius, Mark Demirdjian in the small blind and Tingvall in the big blind. All players checked through a {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop and the {J-Hearts} fell on the turn. Tingvall bet 25,000 and Komplimaa called, Antonius raised to 100,000 and that resulted in two folds by Demirdjian and Tingvall, Komplimaa called.

After the {9-Spades} river, Komplimaa checked and faced a bet of 100,000 by Antonius. Using one time bank extension, Komplimaa called and then mucked when Antonius rolled over {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the ace-high straight.

Grieco Eliminated in Two Steps

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

At the feature table, Honglin Jiang raised to 27,000 from early position with {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, Davidi Kitai called from the small blind with {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Francesco Grieco came in from the big blind with {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

All players checked the {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop. On the {5-Clubs} turn Grieco lead out for 40,000, Jiang folded and Kitai called. The river brought the {10-Diamonds} and Kitai led out for 85,000. Grieco, with 299,000 behind, used a timebank chip before calling it off with the worst of it. Grieco tapped the table as a compliment to Kitai.

Down to 204,000, Grieco open-shoved on the button two hands later and Jiang called in the shove in the big blind.

Francesco Grieco: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Honglin Jiang: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Grieco paired his ten on the {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop to take a big lead in the hand. The {A-Spades} on the turn made things interesting, as Jiang added a flush draw on top of his sevens. The {7-Clubs} on the river was the out he originally needed, and Grieco was gone in 30th place.

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Anton Kraus shoved in middle position for 130,000 and action was on Davor Lanini. He fired in a time extension and then called for nearly all of his own chips.

Anton Kraus: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Davor Lanini: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades}, no help to either player and leaving ace-high the winner.

Two Doubles In a Row

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Adrian Mateos raised to 250,000 on the button and Philipp Gruissem moved all in for 134,000 in the small blind. Federico Petruzzelli in the big blind asked for a count and called, Mateos folded.

Philipp Gruissem: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Federico Petruzzelli: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

"Allez, allez," both Gruissem and Petruzzelli said, aiming a dig at Pierre Morin from one table over. Jack Sinclair walked over from the rail and his hippo card protector was put in use, while John Juanda also walked into the showdown. "You have aces? Are you fuckin kidding me?" Juanda joked and stuck around.

The board came {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Gruissem doubled.

One table over, Thomas Pettersson shoved for 172,000 from the hijack and was called by David Peters on the button.

Thomas Pettersson: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
David Peters: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and the Swede also doubled.

Koplimaa Doubles Through Antonius

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Markku Koplimaa shoved in the cutoff for 144,000 and Patrik Antonius isolated him from the button.

Markku Koplimaa: {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Patrik Antonius: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop looked like all she wrote for Koplimaa. He smiled when the {10-Hearts} hit as it brought him a combo draw, and the {a-Hearts} river completed it.
