Akkari At Twenty Bigs

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Andre Akkari
Andre Akkari

At the feature table, it was Josip Simunic who raised to 35,000 from the cutoff holding {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Javier Fernandez Alonso called {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} out of the small blind and Akkari hopped in with {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} from the big.

The {2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} connected hard with Akkari and all players checked. The {Q-Hearts} on the turn got checked around again. After two checks on the {7-Hearts} river, Simunic tried to steal it with a bet of 43,000. Fernandez folded but Akkari called with his pair of deuces to win.

Shortly after, Akkari three-bet with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} after Honglin Jiang had opened with {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. Jiang four-bet shoved and Akkari folded to drop to 20 big blinds.

Lanini Survives

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Davor Lanini jammed about 200,000 in the small blind over an Ole Schemion open in the cutoff. The big blind used a time extension and folded, and Schemion quickly called.

Ole Schemion: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Davor Lanini: {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Lanini had been caught shoving light but had decent equity with two overs. He pumped his fist after pairing one on the {5-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Spades} flop, and the {q-Diamonds} and {8-Diamonds} kept him best.

Peters Takes from [Removed:433]

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Davor Lanini raised to 36,000 from early position and was called by David Peters in the small blind. Ole Schemion in the big blind three-bet to 150,000 and that forced two quick folds.

One hand later, Peters made it 36,000 on the button and [Removed:432] called from the big blind. On the {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, [Removed:433] checked and called a bet of 50,000. The {9-Spades} turn went check, check, and [Removed:433] then bet the {6-Clubs} river for 100,000. Peters called and was shown {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}, which Peters had beat with the {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for the bottom end of the straight.

Mateos Forces a Danchev Fold

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Adrian Mateos defended big blind and checked to Dimitar Danchev on the button after {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flopped. Danchev bet 30,000 and Mateos made it 85,000. Danchev peeled and saw the {a-Clubs} hit. Mateos bet 170,000 near the end of his timer and Danchev called. On the {9-Spades} river, Mateos needed a time extension before he moved all in for 561,000. Danchev got the count and used his own extension before folding.

Morin Busts to Schemion Right After Coming Back From Break

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Pierre Morin
Pierre Morin

Right after coming back from the break, Ole Schemion made it 35,000 to go from the cutoff and Pierre Morin in the big blind three-bet all in for 301,000, Schemion snap-called.

Pierre Morin: {Q-Spades}{2-Spades}
Ole Schemion: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Having previously pumped up himself with plenty of emotions and shouts in French when going into showdowns, he remained silent for it this time. The board came {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and all Morin said was "good luck" while shaking hands with Schemion before heading to the payout desk.

Alexis Fleur
Alexis Fleur

In the last hand before the break, Krisztian Gyorgyi raised to 32,000 from the cutoff, Alexis Fleur three-bet shoved 248,000 on the button and Gyorgyi called.

Alexis Fleur: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Krisztian Gyorgyi: {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

There was quite the scare for Fleur on a {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{A-Spades}{2-Clubs} rundown but he held up as the players went on their second break of the day.

Schemion Bluffs Morin

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

After having raised from under the gun, Nicolas Dumont checked the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop and Dimitar Danchev bet 31,000 from one seat over. Adrian Mateos on the button and Federico Petruzzelli folded and the duo checked the {7-Spades} turn and the {5-Spades} river. Dumont mucked {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and flipped it over briefly after Danchev had revealed his {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

In the last hand of the level, Ole Schemion was in action out of the small blind against Pierre Morin and bet the {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds} turn for 75,000, Morin called. Schemion shoved the {A-Hearts} river and Morin folded, he was shown the {7-Spades}{5-Spades} by Schemion.
