One Double; Two Bustouts

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Vladimir Troyanovskiy
Vladimir Troyanovskiy

Down to his last 28,500, Piotr Nurzynski moved all in from the button and was called by Denys Shafikov in the small blind.

Piotr Nurzynski: {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Denys Shafikov: {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Shafikov paired his seven on the {7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and Nurzynski already grabbed his belongings. The {7-Diamonds} turn and {A-Hearts} river improved Shafikov to a full house and Nurzynski joined the rail.

Moments later, [Removed:17] was all in for just 19,500 with the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and big stack Niklas Astedt called out of the big blind with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. The board came {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Yan doubled will a full house.

Last but not least, Vladimir Troyanovskiy got his stack in preflop with ace-queen and Luc Greenwood looked him up with the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}. The {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop was bad news for Troyanovskiy and a blank on the turn sealed his fate.

Zinno Doubles Through Kenney

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Bryn Kenney had bet around 17,000 into a pot of close to 25,000 on the {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop, and opponent Anthony Zinno had check-raised all in for 123,000. Kenney called and tabled {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for second pair, but was behind to the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} of Zinno for top pair.

The turn {j-Spades} gave both players straight draws, but the {j-Diamonds} ensured that Zinno doubled up, leaving Kenney with an average stack.

Hajiyev Wins Small Pot

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Gary Hasson raised to 5,500 first to act and picked up two callers in Stephen Chidwick on the button and Ramin Hajiyev in the big blind. On the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} flop, it was Hajiyev that led for 5,000 and that forced out Hasson, Chidwick called.

After the {5-Diamonds} turn, Hajiyev's second bet did the trick to claim the pot right there.

Deyra Eliminated; Astedt Ascending

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Ivan Deyra
Ivan Deyra

Niklas Astedt raised to 5,500 from under the gun. Ivan Deyra three-bet all in for around 52,000 from the button and Astedt called.

Ivan Deyra: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Niklas Astedt: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Deyra was ahead after the {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop, but the {q-Hearts} on the turn gave him a mountain to climb and the {7-Clubs} sent him to the rail.

Also heading to the rail was Aleksandr Mordvinov.

Bicknell Loses Flip to Astedt

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Kristen Bicknell and Niklas Astedt
Kristen Bicknell and Niklas Astedt

Kristen Bicknell raised to 6,000 and Niklas Astedt three-bet to 15,000 from one seat over. Bicknell moved all in for what appeared to be 95,000 and Astedt called to create the following showdown.

Kristen Bicknell: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Niklas Astedt: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop gave Astedt additional outs with a gutshot and he immediately got there on the {10-Hearts} turn to leave Bicknell drawing dead, making the {K-Clubs} river a formality. Astedt took over the lead on his table, but Dario Sammartino and Ivan Luca are not far behind.

Change to Structure

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Tournament officials have announced a change to the structure of the High Roller. Due to clashes with the monster EPT National field (1,677 entrants) and its breaks, the High Roller has just returned from its first break.

They will now play six more levels, before taking their dinner break at the end of Level 17. When they return from dinner, there will be three levels, although tournament staff have not made it clear when the break will be in Levels 18, 19 and 20.
