Smith Eliminated by Chobineh

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

On the heads-up flop of {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Bahram Chobineh bet 20,000 in the hijack and Dan Smith in the cutoff opted to use one time bank before announcing "all in for 59,000." Chobineh snap-called and the cards were turned over.

Dan Smith: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Bahram Chobineh: {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Smith had some outs to avoid the elimination, but neither the {8-Clubs} turn nor the {10-Clubs} on the river were among them.

"Great playing with you," Chobineh said in table chat and Smith replied with a "it was gun, good luck everyone."

Sammartino Doubles Through Hasson

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On a {2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop with around 30,000 in the middle, Dario Sammartino checked to Gary Hasson who bet 15,500. Sammartino check-raised all in for 85,000 and Hasson called.

Dario Sammartino: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Gary Hasson: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Hasson had made a good call with top pair, and was ahead of the flush draw of Sammartino. The turn was the {3-Clubs} but the river {3-Diamonds} completed the Italian's flush and he doubled up.

Chidwick Takes From Sammartino

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In a three-bet pot to the {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop, Dario Sammartino in the small blind bet 18,000 and Stephen Chidwick on the button called. The {A-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Sammartino fired a second barrel for 38,000, which Chidwick also called.

Sammartino then let his shot clock run down to zero on the {J-Spades} river before opting to check, Chidwick checked behind and was shown the {5-Spades}{3-Spades} by Sammartino. Chidwick had that beat with {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and raked in the pot.

Assorted Counts

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 8,000 and Liv Boeree defended her big blind to check-call a bet of 7,500 on the {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop. On the {2-Spades} turn, Boeree checked once more and folded when facing a bet of 15,000 by Kisacikoglu.

One table over, Filipe Oliveira faced a bet of 45,000 on the river of a board {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{K-Spades}. His opponent was David Peters and Oliveira used one time bank before making the call. It was a good one, as Peters showed air, and Oliveira claimed the pot with {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Mandic Doubles Through Moss

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A raise to 9,000 by Matthew Moss in the cutoff resulted in the shove of Goran Mandic on the button for 92,000. Moss gave it some thought and called.

Goran Mandic: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Matthew Moss: {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Moss improved to a pair of aces on the {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} turn, however, the {J-Diamonds} turn secured the double for Mandic, and that made the {8-Hearts} river meaningless.

"I folded a jack," Mustapha Kanit said in table chat.

Lehto and Hasson Near Even in Chips

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Joining the action on the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} turn, Kai Lehto bet 11,000 out of the big blind and Gary Hasson called on the button. Lehto also bet the {2-Spades} river for 23,000 and that proved to be too much for Hasson. After all was done and dusted, both players were left almost even in chips.

Smith Doubles Through Mandic

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In a five-way pot, the blinds checked to pre-flop raiser Goran Mandic who bet 22,000. Mustapha Kanit folded, as did Bahram Chobineh - albeit after using a time extension.

Dan Smith was in the small blind and check-raised all in for 35,000. Matthew Moss got out of the way and Mandic called.

Dan Smith: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Goran Mandic: {q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} giving Mandic trips, but the {10-Hearts} river completed Smith's flush and he doubled up.
