Yan Eliminated by Astedt

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Niklas Astedt raised to 9,000 from early position and was called by Luc Greenwood in the next position. [Removed:17] was on the button and moved all in for 82,500. Astedt called and Greenwood folded.

Niklas Astedt: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
[Removed:17]: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Yan was eliminated.

"Nines," said Greenwood, indicating what he folded.

"You call flop..." said Astedt, "Then I go broke on the turn!"

"Or the river," replied Greenwood."

Mateos Sends Talvitie to the Rail

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

First to act, Adrian Mateos opened the action with a raise to 8,500 and Elias Talvitie moved all in from the cutoff for 93,000. Mateos asked for a count and called after brief consideration.

Elias Talvitie: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}
Adrian Mateos: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The kicker advantage proved to be vital on a board of {K-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts} and the Finn was left without anything to show for.

Robert Doubles; Hajiyev Doesn't

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Vincent Robert raised to 10,500 and Bahram Chobineh called in the hijack. Dan Smith in the cutoff three-bet to 36,000 and Robert then moved all in for 85,500. Chobineh folded and Smith asked for a count, then confirmed his call.

Vincent Robert: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Dan Smith: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Robert doubled.

One table over and just moments later, Ramin Hajiyev got his remaining 43,000 in from the button and Gary Hasson called in the small blind.

Ramin Hajiyev: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Gary Hasson: {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop favoured Hasson, and the {5-Hearts} turn and {9-Spades} river failed to improve Hajiyev.

With some 40,000 in the middle and the board showing {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, Cary Katz bet 8,500 out of the big blind.

"How much is the bet?" Dan Smith in early position asked and gave it some thought. He then tossed in calling chips and Katz rolled over {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

"I should have gone all in preflop," Katz said in table chat to which Smith replied "I think you won the max."

Hasson Takes From Sammartino

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On the three-way flop of {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, Orpen Kisacikoglu checked out of the big blind and Dario Sammartino bet 9,000 in early position. Gary Hasson called in the cutoff and Kisacikoglu sent his cards into the muck.

Both the {2-Clubs} turn and the {8-Spades} river were checked through and Sammartino was the first to show, revealing {A-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a pair of deuces. Hasson had that beat with {A-Spades}{5-Hearts} and claimed the pot.

Dvoress Doubles Through Zinno

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress was all in for 163,500 and had been called quickly by Anthony Zinno. The flop was {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Zinno held top pair, top kicker holding {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. However, Dvoress had flopped two pair with {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

The turn {10-Spades} and river {5-Hearts} didn't save Zinno who moved down to around 30 big blinds while Dvoress moved to around 350,000.

Oliveira and Pollak Chip Up

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Filipe Oliveira raised to 8,000 on the button and was called by Daniel Dvoress and David Peters in the blinds. Dvoress bet the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop for 7,500 and both opponents called. On the {3-Spades} turn, action checked to Oliviera and his bet of 26,000 won the pot uncontested.

Soon after, Benjamin Pollak raised and Peters came along out of the small blind. Both invested 11,000 on the {9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop. On the {10-Spades} turn, Peters bet 14,000 and Pollak called. Peters let his shot clock run down to two seconds on the {10-Clubs} river and checked, Pollak bet 5,000 and that won the pot without showdown after a fold by Peters.
