Astedt Doubles Through Riess After River Overbet

On a {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop Ryan Riess check-called 1,600 from Niklas Astedt. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and the former WSOP Main Event champion check-called 4,500 this time from the Swede.

The river was the {2-Diamonds}. Riess checked for the third time and Astedt moved all in for 24,100.

Riess used a time extension before calling. Astedt showed {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for top pair, and beat the {8-Spades}{10-Diamonds} of his opponent to double up.

His opponent thought for a minute but decided to let his hand go and Burns collected the pot.

After an open from early position, Charlie Carrel stuck in a three-bet on his left. The rest of the table folded and the two players went heads-up to a flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} with around 7,500 in the middle.

The action was checked to Carrel who bet 2,500 only to have his opponent check-raise to 6,500. Carrel called and the {9-Clubs} landed on the turn. Carrel was faced with a bet of 5,400 but decided to lay his hand down.

"Ace-ace?" Carrel questioned. His opponent nodded his head and Carrel seemed satisfied with the answer.

The action folded around to Sam Greenwood in the small blind and he and Ema Zajmovic each put in 1,000 chips preflop. The flop came {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Greenwood let out with a bet. Zajmovic raised to 7,500 and Greenwood called.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and Greenwood check-called another bet of 10,000 from Zajmovic. The {6-Hearts} hit the river and Greenwood checked again. Zajmovic checked it back this time and Greenwood turned over {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for a full house.

"I didn't think I could get you to fold a pair," Zajmovic stated as she conceded the pot.
