On the turn of a board {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Jose Pimentel called the shove of Mario Lopez and tabled {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top pair and the nut flush draw. Lopez only had {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for an inferior flushdraw and gutshot, and the {j-Spades} river was a blank to let Pimentel double for 500,000.

Aguirre Azcoitia Finds his Nemesis

Martin Paap doubled twice in quick succession against Inaki Aguirre Azcoitia to leave the Spaniard short, who then lost the remainder of his stack to Simeon Naydenov.

In the first hand, Paap doubled for 475,000 with {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} versus {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} on a board of {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}. He then picked up jacks when Aguirre Azcoitia had tens to make it two in a row.

Stephen Song limped from the button and Ruben Garcia Blancas checked from the big blind.

The flop fell {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Blancas checked. Song bet 220,000 and Blancas took a minute of reflection before check-raising to 475,000. Song stuck around with a call.

The turn came the {j-Spades} and Blancas checked. Song thew in a bet of 700,000 and Blancas gave it some thought, then opted to let it go.

Basile Eliminated by Ruzicka

Uri Reichenstein lost a big pot to Maxime Chilaud after he three-bet preflop and fired three barrels to put a major dent into his stack.

On the {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, Reichenstein made it 175,000 to go and was called by Chilaud before another bet of 350,000 and a call followed on the {6-Hearts} turn. The {10-Clubs} came on the river and Reichenstein jammed, Chilaud called for 980,000 with {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and scored a vital double as Reichenstein only had {7-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Soon after, Reichenstein was spotted on his way out of the tournament area.

Chilaud doubled to more than two times the average and only trails Pete Chen on his table.
