Greenwood Becomes Malinowski's Latest Victim

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Wiktor Malinowski
Wiktor Malinowski

On a {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop Wiktor Malinowski checked to Sam Greenwood who bet 20,000. Malinowski then check-raised to 65,000 and Greenwood called.

The river was the {j-Hearts}. Malinowski moved all in and Greenwood snap-called for his last 109,000.

Malinowski showed {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} for two pair, and Greenwood flashed {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for an inferior two pair, having been counterfeited on the turn, before mucking and exiting the tournament area.

Do You Have a Normal Stack?

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Matthias Eibinger
Matthias Eibinger

Dominik Nitsche raised to 5,000 from the hijack and action folded to Matthias Eibinger in the big blind who asked the dealer if the raise was to 4,000 or 5,000. The dealer confirmed the amount.

"Do you have a normal stack?" Eibinger asked Nitsche.

Nitsche looked a bit confused and replied: "Yeah? Kinda..."

The rest of the table laughed at the question and the reply that followed.

Eibinger three-bet to 26,000 and Nitsche called.

"How is your stack?" Nitsche asked Eibinger.

"210" Eibinger replied coolly.

"My stack is very special!" Ivan Leow commented.

They both checked through the {9-Spades}{k-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop, the {7-Diamonds} on the turn, and the {9-Hearts} on the river. Eibinger tabled {7-Spades}{5-Spades} for the turned pair of sevens to pick up the pot as Nitsche mucked his hand.

"Spades. Hmmm..." Nitsche remarked.

"Of course! Spade is always strong. When I have spades, I always three-bet." Eibinger replied with a smile.

Kings for Carrel

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Charlie Carrel opened from under the gun and got a number of callers. On a {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop it checked to Ahadpur Khangah who bet a hefty 29,500.

Jean-Noel Thorel called out of the small blind and Carrel made it three to a turn, which was the {q-Spades}.

The trio checked, and then all checked the {a-Hearts} river. Khangah showed {5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a pair of fives, Thorel {4-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens and Carrel turned over {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

"Thought I was screwed!" said Carrel, chipping up to over 300,000 in chips.

Addamo Busts Dvoress; Dvoress Buys Back In

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Michael Addamo raised to 4,000 on the button and Daniel Dvoress three-bet in the small blind for an unknown amount but had a chip of 25,000 in front of him. Addamo took some time but then decided to shove with the bigger stack. Dvoress called for the 62,500 he had behind.

Daniel Dvoress: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Michael Addamo: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The flop came {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for them both to flop a pair but Addamo was ahead with the kings.

The turn brought them the {j-Hearts} which now meant that there was a chance to split to pot but the {9-Diamonds} on the river meant the end of Dvoress' first bullet as he reentered shortly after.
