Kisacikoglu Takes From Wee

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

High Roller regular, Orpen Kisacikoglu has taken a seat and he is already off the mark. Most recently he took a small pot against Nicole Wee.

It began with an open from Kisacikoglu and Wee defended her big blind. The flop fell {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Wee check-called the 1,800 continuation bet.

There was no further betting on the {5-Spades} turn or {7-Spades} river and Wee turned over ace-high with {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and couldn't beat Kisacikoglu's top pair with {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Ziegelbecker Takes From Hoefer

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Oswin Ziegelbecker
Oswin Ziegelbecker

Paul Hoefer raised from early position and picked up two callers including Oswin Ziegelbecker from one seat over and big stack Ibrahim Ghassan in the blinds. On a {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Ghassan checked and a bet of 1,000 by Hoefer was called two ways. The {k-Hearts} turn brought yet another check by Ghassan and this time, Hoefer's second barrel of 2,300 was called only by Ziegelbecker.

The {q-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Hoefer checked. Ziegelbecker made it 4,600 to go and an instant fold followed.

Angsten Eliminated by Troyanovskiy

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

On a turn of {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, Herbert Angsten got his stack of around 13,000 in with {8-}{7-} and Vladimir Troyanovskiy looked him up with {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a straight. The {9-Clubs} river was a blank and Angsten headed to the rail, as Troyanovskiy had him covered by a small margin.

Amri Calls Three Streets Against Ciubotaru

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

There was an early position open to 1,000 by Mohamed El Amri and three players called, including Matas Cimbolas and Mihai Ciubotaru.

The four players went to the flop and it came down {3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}. It checked to Ciubotaru on the button and he made it 2,100 to continue and only El Amri called.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and El Amri check-called the 5,100 barrel. On the {2-Diamonds} river, he did the same, this time paying 10,500 to get to showdown. He turned over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Ciubotaru sent his cards into the muck.

Jacquelyn Scott Going for the Kill in her First European Poker Tour Event

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Jacquelyn Scott
Jacquelyn Scott

Jacquelyn Scott is not exactly what her opponents expect when they see her sitting at the poker table, and she's quite okay with that. The 2015 WSOP Ladies Event winner has been able to capitalize on her image, and is having a blast in the process here at her first EPT event ever at the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino European Poker Tour festival.

“Being a woman, and being my age, you’re always going to be underestimated. That’s been a real advantage for me this tournament.”

There were some constants on Day 2 of the €1,100 French National Championship, among them, Jacquelyn Scott cracking jokes and stacking chips.

Her opponents will be sorely mistaken and may pay dearly - in chips - for their error if they think Scott is clueless, or weak, or afraid of them. READ MORE at the PokerNews homepage.
