Martini Pounds on Badziakouski

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Julien Martini
Julien Martini

In what was presumably a three-bet pot, small blind Julien Martini continued for 17,000 on an {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and Mikita Badziakouski called in middle position. The camera's swooped in to catch the action between both juggernauts when the {7-Hearts} fell on the turn.

Martini continued his aggression with a bet of 41,000 and Badziakouski elected to fold after several minutes of thought.

Seth Davies
Seth Davies

Sam Grafton opened the action with a raise to 7,000 from middle position and Seth Davies called from the next seat. Big blind Nariman Yaghmai called as well and they went to the flop three-way.

The flop fell {2-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Clubs} and it checked to Davies. Davies took over the betting initiative with a bet of 7,000 and Yaghmai called. Grafton got out of the way and they continued heads-up on the {7-Diamonds} turn.

It checked to Davies for the second time and he placed a bet of 13,000 in the middle. Yaghmai got out of the way this time and Davies took down the pot.

The third level of the day is completed and there are just 165 players remaining with 135 spots paid. At least two more levels remain for tonight, and a third may be scheduled depending on when the money bubble bursts. For now, all remaining hopefuls get to enjoy 20 minutes away from the tables.

Grafton Pressures Kovalevskiy

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Serafim Kovalevskiy opened to 5,000 and Sam Grafton called in the blinds. On the {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop, Grafton check-raised Kovalevskiy's 9,000 continuation bet to 36,000 and Kovalevskiy called.

The turn brought the {5-Clubs} and Grafton bet again, making it 27,000 this time. It was a tank-call from Kovalevskiy and the dealer plaed a {q-Diamonds} on the river. Grafton barreled for 82,000, which was over half of Kovalevskiy's remaining stack. The Russian went into the tank again but decided to fold in the end. Grafton now has double the average stack.
