Michaelis Takes From Greenwood

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Paul Michaelis and Sam Greenwood, currently first and second in chips respectively, are sat on the same table. Michaelis has just won a pot against Greenwood after opening to 18,000 preflop and Greenwood called in the small blind.

On the {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop, Greenwood check-called a 45,000 c-bet. He folded to Michaelis's 135,000 barrel on the {7-Diamonds} turn though and the German has put a little more distance between himself and the Canadian.

Jonas Lauck
Jonas Lauck

Vlad Darie raised from the hijack to 18,000 and Jonas Lauck pushed his last 101,000 to the middle from the big blind. Darie asked for a count and when he heard Lauck had 101,000 he tossed in a chip and opened up {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. He was flipping against the {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades} of Lauck and the dealer started to deal the board.

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and the former WCOOP Main Event champion was sent to the rail by Darie who stacked up nicely.

Malinowski Pulls Some Back

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Wiktor Malinowski
Wiktor Malinowski

Things have not gone well for Wiktor Malinowski of late and he had dropped to 128,000 until he managed to more than double in back-to-back pots. First he opened for all in blind versus blind against Malikeh Razavi and met with no opposition to take him up to 140,000.

Next, he called {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} on the button after an early position open from Jean-René Fontaine and Melika Razavi made it a three-handed pot after calling {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} in the small blind. The flop came {4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Fontaine c-bet 27,000 and both players called him.

Fontaine gave up on the {4-Diamonds} and Razavi check-called Malinowski's 40,000 bet. There was no further action on the {8-Diamonds} turn and Malinowski won the pot with the better kicker.

Ivan Deyra
Ivan Deyra

Ivan Deyra raised to 14,000 from the cutoff and Danilo Velasevic shoved on the button for around 165,000. Action folded back to Deyra who called.

Danilo Velasevic: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Ivan Deyra: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {10-Spades}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} Deyra to flop top pair and Velasevic middle pair. They both also flopped a straight draw.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} which didn't change anything while the river completed the board with the {j-Diamonds} for Deyra to hit the straight to eliminate Velasevic.
