Khachaturov Doubles Through Pedersen

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Simon Pedersen raised to 12,000 in early position and action made its way around to Artem Khachaturov, who defended his big blind. The two saw a flop of {4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Khachaturov checked. Pedersen made a continuation-bet of 8,000 and Khachaturov called.

The turn was {q-Spades}. Khachaturov checked again and Pedersen fired a second barrel for 28,000. Khachaturov reached for chips as if he were about to check-raise all in, but a few toppled over behind the rest of his stack. He picked up three T1,000 chips along with the five T5,000 chips that fell to hold a call in his hand, and then paused again for a split second before announcing he was all in for 82,000. Pedersen called.

Artem Khachaturov: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Simon Pedersen: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Khachaturov found a pair of queens on the turn after sticking around on the flop and got the rest of his chips in well ahead of Pedersen's jacks. The river came {5-Spades} to complete the runout and ensure Khachaturov's double, taking him over 200,000 as Pedersen has dropped to around 600,000, still one of the largest stacks in the room with five tables remaining.

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Michael Soyza
Michael Soyza

Michael Soyza moved all in for 102,500 from under the gun and the action folded around to Francesco Delfoco in the small blind. Delfoco slid out a call and the big blind folded.

Francesco Delfoco: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Michael Soyza: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Soyza was happy to see that it was a coin flip but the flop of {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} put Delfoco in the lead. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn and the {5-Clubs} on the river spelled the end to Soyza who said goodbye to his tablemates.

Bitar Picks Off Katzenberger

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

There was around 65,000 in the middle on a board of {8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} with heads-up action between Viktor Katzenberger in the big blind and Ghassan Bitar, who was on the button. The board read {8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Katzenberger fired out 15,000, which Bitar called.

The river came {4-Clubs} and Katzenberger bet another 18,000. Bitar called again to take the hand to showdown.

Katzenberger showed {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a busted gutshot straight draw and Bitar slammed down {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} immediately after seeing it, earning the pot with aces up to take him to a half-million early in Level 6.

Jimmy Guerrero
Jimmy Guerrero

Simon Lofberg opened and called a shove from Jimmy Guerrero for his last 88,000.

Simon Lofberg: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Jimmy Guerrero: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Guerrero was ahead in his bid to stay alive, but the {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop didn't help, and he was drawing dead on the {k-Hearts} turn. The {7-Clubs} completed the board and Guerrero was eliminated.

Float Works for Cybulski

Level 15 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action folded around to Yunye Lu in the small blind and he raised to 17,500, putting action onto Tomasz Cybulski in the big blind. The two players were in the one- and eight-seats on either side of the dealer and Cybulski asked how much Lu had. There was a little bit of a misunderstanding that led to Cybulski standing up to look over and confirm how much Lu had to start the hand. The dealer then announced that Cybulski had five seconds left on his shot clock.

"Call," said Cybulski and the dealer asked to confirm, which he did. The flop came {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and Lu made a continuation-bet of 15,000. Cybulski called.

The turn was {a-Hearts} and Lu slowed down, tapping the felt to check. Cybulski threw out a bet of 22,000 and Lu folded, resulting in Cybulski's turn bet taking down the pot after floating the flop by calling Lu's continuation-bet.

"You're all in? I'm all in too," he said, isolating out the big blind to send the two off to the races.

Fahredin Mustafov: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Michael Soyza: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Fattahi Barrels Three Streets

Level 15 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Simon Pedersen opened to 11,000 in the hijack and Ashkan Fattahi three-bet to 34,000 in the cutoff which Pedersen called. The flop came {j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Pedersen check-called a bet of 24,000 from Fattahi.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Pedersen checked again. Fattahi counted out another bet of 48,000 and Pedersen stuck around to see the {j-Diamonds} on the river.

Pedersen checked once more and Fattahi pushed out a bet of 115,000. Pedersen flicked in a chip to call and Fattahi tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for air. Pedersen showed {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} for two pair and raked in the pot to climb to the top of the leaderboard.
