Markku Koplimaa
Markku Koplimaa

Markku Koplimaa was eliminated on Day 1a and suffered the same fate on Day 1b as well, which leaves just the turbo heat 1c for a chance to secure a stack for Day 1 and a second €1,100 EPT National title.

Koplimaa three-bet shoved for 9,000 when facing a raise to 1,400 by Dan Serban Borlan and Benjamin Ezer moved all in from one seat over. Borlan quickly called for the following showdown.

Markku Koplimaa: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Dan Serban Borlan: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Benjamin Ezer: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The board came {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and the jacks held up for Borlan, who sent Koplimaa out and doubled through Ezer for 33,200.

Von Moos Runs Into Aces

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Richard Von Moos jammed for 11,200 from early position and Gian Gheza isolated from the button.

Von Moos was in trouble with {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} versus {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} but received a lot of outs on the {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} flop. The {a-Clubs} turn and {8-Hearts} river gave Gheza a full house.
