A Double for van Oort

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Paul van Oort was all in for 345,000 on the button and Christian Gomero Candela in the small blind had him covered and both players turned over the two best starting hands in No-Limit Hold'em.

Paul van Oort: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Christian Gomero Candela: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts} board brought no upset and the Dutchman doubled.

Buhaiov Over Two Million After Knocking Out Grecu

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Virgil Grecu was in middle position and went all in for 420,000. He received a call from Nazar Buhaiov on the button and the two were off to the races once the remaining players in the hand folded.

Virgil Grecu: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Nazar Buhaiov: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came in Buhaiov's favor, falling {9-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Spades} to give him aces up and leave Grecu in need of hitting one of the two remaining sevens to stay alive. The rest of the runout was all Buhaiov as well though, hitting an ace on the river to improve unnecessarily to a full house as the board came {10-Hearts}{a-Clubs} to result in Grecu's elimination.

Big Call Vaults Sandsgaard Into Big Stack

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

With around 200,000 in the middle and the flop showing {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Claudio Lucchini pushed for around 740,000 and Borge Sandsgaard made the call with the slightly superior kicker.

Claudio Lucchini: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Borge Sandsgaard: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The {a-Spades} on the turn locked up the elimination and the {9-Spades} river was a formality. At the payout desk, Bela Toth was already waiting with a ticket in the hand as he had just busted from a different table.

Sulc Rivers a Pair

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Carl Loefstedt raised to 40,000 from the cutoff and was called by Danilo Velasevic on the button and Goran Lukac and Marek Sulc in the blinds.

They all checked through the {8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} board. Lukac showed {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for ace-high, Sulc held {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for the rivered pair of fours and the rest mucked to everyone's surprise for Sulc to pick up the pot.

Sandsgaard Scores Two Knockouts

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #1:

Action folded around to Catalin Rusu in the small blind and he shoved all in for 310,000. Borge Sandsgaard was in the big blind and asked for a count before making the call.

Catalin Rusu: {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Borge Sandsgaard: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

An eight was the first visible card as the dealer spread a flop of {8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, but an ace was buried below it to keep Sandsgaard ahead in the hand. He stayed there the rest of the way, watching the turn {2-Hearts} and river {q-Hearts} complete the runout without much concern to earn him the pot.

Hand #2:

On the very next hand, Pal Koppegodt went all in for the last of his chips from the button and Sandsgaard was waiting with a monster in the small blind.

Pal Koppegodt: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Borge Sandsgaard: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The flop {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} put the case king on board to give Sandsgaard top set, leaving Koppegodt with only a backdoor flush draw to stay alive. The turn came {3-Hearts}, giving him some hope, but the river quickly fell {a-Spades} behind it to leave his hand second best, becoming Sandsgaard's second casualty in as many hands.

Dziubdziela Departs After Clash With Alkhouri

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Marcin Dziubdziela three-bet all in for what appeared to be 290,000 and Rafael Alkhouri quickly called.

Dziubdziela was caught with the fingers in the cookie jar as he had the {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Alkhouri tabled {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and the {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop required Dziubdziela to hit running outs. The {10-Hearts} on the turn brought some hope but the {3-Diamonds} river came a blank.

Zukernik Loses a Bit to Toninello

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Alessandro Toninello raised to 50,000 from the hijack and was called by Philipp Zukernik on the button while the blinds folded.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}, Toninello continued with a bet of 40,000 which Zukernik called.

They both checked through the {k-Spades} on the turn to the {4-Clubs} on the river. Toninello now fired a bet of 100,000 over the line. Zukernik took some time and then opted to fold.

Velasevic Felts Teisseire

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Danilo Velasevic had dropped below the average at some point but he is well back on track and just added a few big blinds to his disposal after sending Antonin Teisseire to the rail.

Down to just 110,000, Teisseire was at risk with the {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Velasevic had two overcards with the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Nothing changed on the {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop and the {7-Diamonds} turn but the {a-Spades} on the river gave Velasevic the superior pair.
