Brandström Chips Up Against Esposito

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Simon Brandstrom
Simon Brandstrom

After check-calling the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, Simon Brandström bet the {10-Spades} turn for 4,500 and was called by Ettore Esposito. Brandström then also bet the {k-Spades} on the river for another 12,000 and Esposito went into the tank. Eventually, the call followed and Brandström revealed {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} for the king-high straight as the winning hand.

Sandev Loses a Fun Hand

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

The chips were flying between Georgi Sandev and Kalidou Sow with the former committing nearly half of his remaining chips already to the {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} river. Sandev opted to check with around half the starting stack behind and Sow then pushed forward his blue T-5,000 chips.

That sent Sandev into the tank and he eventually folded with the words "fun hand" before adding "well, not so much for me but for you." By scooping the pot without showdown, Sow moved to two times the starting stack and cemented his decent start into the day.

Frey Iglesias Pays Off Grossmann

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

With plenty of chips already in the middle, the board showed {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Szymon Grossmann bet 15,000 out of the big blind and that sent Andres Frey Iglesias into the tank. The call of the Germany-based Spaniard followed and Grossmann rolled over the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a rivered full house to drag in the very healthy pot.

Feenstra Mucks Against Berndtson

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Touko Berndtson raised to 500 from the hijack and Rens Feenstra three-bet to 2,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Berndtson who took a few seconds before making the call.

The flop came {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Spades} for Berndtson to quickly check. Feenstra continued with a barrel of 1,500 for Berndtson to call.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Berndtson checked instantly again. This time, Feenstra fired a bet of 4,500 over the line and got called again.

The river completed the board with the {q-Diamonds} and they both checked. Berndtson tabled the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for two pair, aces and sevens for Feenstra to muck.

Gill Jams Up His Stack

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

In front of Jack Sinclair were 1,600 in chips and Alex Kulev had then four-bet to 7,000 from two seats over. Harpreet Gill opted to simply move all-in for more than the starting stack to force out one player. Sinclair came to the same conclusion and Kulev double-checked his cards before doing the same.

"I had kings," Gill said before rolling over his cards for a mere second while adding "I thought you have it."
