Nouira Knocks Sootla and Linaras Out

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Sokratis Linaras was all-in from the hijack and so was Ranno Sootla in the small blind while Maher Nouira had both of them covered from under the gun with the action unknown as the cards were already on their backs.

Ranno Sootla: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Sokratis Linaras: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Maher Nouira: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for Nouira to hold with the higher pocket pair to bust both players before the tournament clock was paused.

Kulcsar Versus Colillas

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ramon Colillas
Ramon Colillas

Ramon Colillas raised to 2,500 from the early position and the action folded to Gergely Kulcsar in the big blind. He took a bit of time before opting to three-bet to 11,700 which Colillas called.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, Kulcsar continued with a bet of 8,500 which was called by the PokerStars Ambassador.

They both checked through the {j-Clubs} on the turn to the {8-Spades} on the river. Kulcsar fired a bet of 42,000 over the line for Colillas to tank and then fold.

Galant Guesses Wrong; Folds Correctly

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With some 35,000 in the middle to the {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades} turn, Heinz Schluter had pushed a stack of T-5,000 worth 100,000 forward out of the big blind. That sent Robert Galant on the button in the tank and he took more than three minutes.

"I need some time guys, sorry," the Dutchman apologised to the table. Schluter then suggested that if Galant were to fold and show his cards, he would return the favour.

Galant eventually announced the fold and added "but I really wanted to make the call because I think I am ahead" before flashing his {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. As it turned out, the read of Galant was off as he had zero percent versus {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} but preserved his chips.

Colillas Loses a Bigger Chunk

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

PokerStars ambassador Ramon Colillas had been steadily building his stack but lost a portion of that when he tangled with Gergely Kulcsar. On the tail end of the {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} board, Colillas checked and Kulcsar made it 26,000 to go. The rather reluctant call by Colillas followed and he then shook his head several times when Kulcsar flipped over the winning {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair.

Hajdari Makes the Wrong Call Against Sinclair

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The board read {6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds} with around 16,000 in the middle.

Fehim Hajdari had checked his big blind and Jack Sinclair fired a bet of 24,000 over the line. Hajdari took some time to consider his options and after a while, he made the call.

Sinclair tabled the {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for the rivered straight to scoop the pot as Hajdari opted to muck.

Guilbert Eliminated by Boelling

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Down to the final 8,400, Johan Guilbert open-shoved and Andreas Boelling isolated from two seats over. All other opponents folded and the following showdown emerged.

Johan Guilbert: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Andreas Boelling: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop kept Boelling in the lead and that remained to be the case on the {3-Spades} turn as well. Nothing changed with the {10-Spades} river either and Guilbert headed to the rail. The Frenchman had arrived by plane from Las Vegas earlier in the day and jumped right into the action, he can certainly expected to be back for Day 1b after a good night's sleep.

Pedersen Takes From Baumann

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Toni Kaukua has been eliminated and that pot vaulted Sharon Sade into a big stack as his flopped full house prevailed against a rivered flush. Sade then called a raise by Gaelle Baumann and Christian Pedersen came along in the big blind as well.

On the {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Baumann continued and Pedersen was the only caller.

The {3-Hearts} turn was checked by Pedersen once more and Baumann fired a second barrel worth 10,500. Pedersen check-raised to 26,000 and Baumann reluctantly came along. Both then checked the {k-Spades} on the river and Pedersen won the pot with the {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

"I had so much showdown value," Baumann sighed. "Did you have a flush draw? Ace ten of hearts?" Pedersen inquired and Baumann nodded but didn't disclose her exact holdings.

In the meanwhile, Sade mentioned in chat he had folded pocket queens because Baumann's raise "looked so strong."
