Some More Chip Counts

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

No Call for Bruschi Against Mrakes

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Renan Bruschi raised it up from the button and earned a call from Michal Mrakes in the small blind. They checked the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop and Mrakes bet the {k-Hearts} turn for 2,500, which Bruschi called. Once the {4-Spades} fell on the river, Mrakes opted to check and Bruschi then ramped up the sizing with a bet worth 17,000.

That was enough to avoid a showdown as Mrakes folded and forfeited the pot.

Late Night Counts From the Felt

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The Rich Get Richer

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Sinclair Jack
Sinclair Jack

On the tail end of a heads-up pot between Jack Sinclair and Stanislav Zegal, the former bet the {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Clubs} river for 17,000. Zegal tanked for a while and eventually made the call by tossing in a single chip.

Sinclair rolled over the {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a full house, sixes full of queens, and dragged in yet another healthy pot. However, the Brit is not the current chip leader as Ezequiel Waigel has even more chips at his disposal.

All Eliminated Today

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Duzgun Done By Kraus

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The cards were already flipped over as Switzerland's Samiyel Duzgun was at risk with the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}, which had flopped a straight draw on {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Anton Kraus had that dominated with the {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a set and the {j-Hearts} turn as well as the {3-Hearts} river runout failed to keep Duzgun in contention.

Talbot Might Reenter

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

Parker Talbot was seen leaving the tournament area but was kind enough to relay what had happened.

The player from under the gun raised, the button called before Talbot shoved in the big blind for 35,000. The initial raiser folded but the button called.

Parker Talbot: {k-}{q-} (suited)
Button: {9-}{9-}

The board ran out {10-}{10-}{5-}{5-}{3-} for Talbot to bust.

He wandered over to Conor Beresford to chat while contemplating if he'd reenter today and try again tomorrow.

Jordon Escapes From Elimination

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Karolis Sereika raised to 2,200 and [Removed:432] called from three seats over. Terry Jordon then jammed for the last 12,400 and Sereika went over the top to force out [Removed:433].

Terry Jordon: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Karolis Sereika: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Things looked dire for the Brit on the {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop but he got there on the {q-Spades} turn and {k-Hearts} river.

Bise Shoves on Sootla

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The board read {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} with 15,000 in the middle.

Ranno Sootla had checked in the small blind but Emil Bise shoved in the big blind for 17,400.

Sootla was considering his options and asked Bise: "Will you show if I fold?"

"NEVER!" Bise said with a big smile and the rest of the table laughed.

Sootla took a few more seconds before reluctantly folding.

Bise pushed his cards towards the muck and collected the pot while the table continued bantering around.
