Aldemir Knocked Out by Martinez

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

Jon Martinez raised it up to 3,200 and then saw the shove by Koray Aldemir follow from two seats over. The push by the 2019 WSOP Main Event champion was for 32,200 and Martinez called for around half of his remaining stack.

Koray Aldemir: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Jon Martinez: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop seemingly locked up the early double for Aldemir but the {q-Spades} turn and {10-Clubs} river runout gave Martinez broadway.

Other players at the table remarked how big a name Aldemir was after his success in Las Vegas and Yucel Eminoglu added "he would have been dangerous if he doubled."

Bouaboula Shoves on Galant

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Uri Gilboa checked a {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop and Tom Vogelsang bet 3,500. Robert Galant raised to 7,700 and Reda Bouaboula cold-called. Gilboa and Vogelsang both folded.

Galant bet 7,200 on the {a-Hearts} turn and Bouaboula moved all in, covering Galant. Galant folded and Bouaboula took down the pot.

Early Exit for van der Swaluw

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Alexander van der Swaluw had entered Day 2 with a short stack of just 11,000 and got those in via open-shove from the hijack. Jamie Flynn looked him up with the far bigger stack to trigger the following showdown.

Alexander van der Swaluw: {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Jamie Flynn: {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Neither player connected with the {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop and {6-Hearts} turn. The {a-Diamonds} river only improved Flynn and van der Swaluw headed out of the tournament area.

Gloger Tank-Calls vs Brewer

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Chris Brewer bet 4,000 into a pot of 11,000 on a {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop and was called by Alexander Glogar.

Both players checked the {4-Hearts} turn and Brewer then bet 22,000 on the {2-Clubs} river.

Glogar tanked, with a player eventually calling the clock. The dealer explained that not enough time had passed for the clock to be called.

"It's for most of my remaining chips," said Glogar before calling.

Brewer tabled {10-Clubs}{6-Spades} for ten-high and Glogar showed {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for a pair of jacks and won the pot.

Diaz Doubles Through Pirault

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Adria Diaz Dalmau: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Francois Pirault: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop was a mighty sweat but the {6-Hearts} turn and {j-Spades} river were no threat anymore for the Spaniard.

Ekinci Folds to Nouira Shove

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Yunus Ekinci bet 10,500 into a pot of around 30,000 on the {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop and Maher Nouira raised to 26,000.

Ekinci called and the turn was the {j-Spades}. Ekinci checked, but folded to a shove from Nouira.

They are both seated at a table with start-of-day chip leader Jack Sinclair sandwiched between the two of them.

Bastow Busto

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Derek Bastow open-shoved for 12,600 and was called by Thomas Rahut on the button.

Derek Bastow: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Thomas Rahut: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades} gave both players a straight, but the Broadway of Rahut was best, and he sent Bastow to the rail.

Gulseven Takes From Speranza

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Erdal Gulseven
Erdal Gulseven

Erdal Gulseven tangled with Gianluca Speranza and check-called a bet worth 8,500 on the {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades} turn. He then also check-called for another 16,500 on the {2-Diamonds} river and Speranza tabled the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Gulseven had that beat with the {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for two pair and Speranza let out a loud sigh.
