ElkY Scores Big Double Before the Break

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On a {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} board, Mike Watson bet 77,000 into a pot of just over 100,000 and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier raised all in for 287,000.

Watson tank-called with {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} had run into the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} of Grospellier and was drawing dead. The river was the {6-Hearts} and Grospellier doubled up.

Gierse Busts Wilf Just Before Break

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Saar Wilf
Saar Wilf

With {2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} on the board, Saar Wilf shoved his last 64,000 into the middle and Marius Gierse called.

Saar Wilf: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Marius Gierse: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Gierse was ahead with trip fours and Wilf needed some help. The {7-Diamonds} turn and {k-Clubs} river were not enough and Wilf was out of the tournament just before the players went on their first 20-minute break of the day.

Selouan's Four-Bet Shove Gets Through

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ole Schemion opened to 16,000 and was called by Mike Watson.

Nick Petrangelo three-bet to 55,000 in the small blind, and Rodrigo Selouan four-bet all in from the big blind.

Schemion and Watson both folded, with Petrangelo using a time bank before throwing his hand into the muck.

Ruan Takes from Dvoress with Flush

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Zhuang Ruan raised to 18,000 and Daniel Dvoress called from middle position. Johan Guilbert came along from the cutoff and the flop was {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

All three players checked the flop and the turn was {6-Hearts}. Ruan checked and Dvoress bet 25,000. Guilbert folded and Ruan called to see {2-Clubs} on the river.

Ruan checked and Dvoress bet 60,000. Ruan check-raised to 240,000 and Dvoress went deep into the tank.

After using four time banks, Dvoress tossed in the chips to call. Ruan turned over {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for the flush and Dvoress tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Heath Takes From Bujtas

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a three-bet pot, Laszlo Bujtas bet 31,000 on a {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop and opponent Ben Heath called.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Bujtas checked. Heath bet 114,000 and after some thought, Bujtas let his hand go into the muck.

Meanwhile at another table, Cosmin Timbus has been eliminated.

Guilbert Doubles Through Ruan

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Johan Guilbert got his last 162,000 in with {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} but ran into the {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} of Zhuang Ruan.

However, an eight in the window of an {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} board saw him double with a full house as Ruan dropped back.
