Welcome to Day 1 of the £50,000 Super High Roller at PokerStars European Poker Tour London. Cards go in the air at 12:30 p.m. local time at Hilton Park Lane for this prestigious high stakes event.

Mikita Badziakouski is the reigning Super High Roller champion after he took down the €100,000 event at the most recent EPT in Barcelona. That tournament drew 68 total entries and generated a prize pool of €6,597,360, from which Badziakouski won a top prize of €1,979,220.

Among the other notable players and EPT regulars, Byron Kaverman is expected to join the action after he won the £25,000 Single-Day High Roller on Thursday.

"See you guys tomorrow," Kaverman said when he took the top prize of £273,710 in a tournament that drew a total of 30 entries.

Orpen Kisacikoglu, Steve O’Dwyer, Ben Heath and reigning WSOP Main Event Champion Espen Jorstad also finished in the money of Thursday’s one-day high roller event.

Players will start with 250,000 in chips and blinds kick off at 500/1,000 with a 1,000 big blind ante. Levels will be 60 minutes long and Day 1 will conclude at the end of Level 8. Players can enter as many times as they wish and registration will remain open until the start of Day 2.

The tournament will be played with a 30-second shot clock, and players will start with eight time banks if they’re seated at the beginning of the day. Entrants will also receive a 50% discount on the fee for registering in advance and taking their seat before the start of play.
