Andras Nemeth raised it up from the cutoff and was called by Graeme Newman and Bruno Volkmann in the blinds. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and it checked to Nemeth who bet 11,000. Newman called and Volkmann check-raised to 44,000. Both Nemeth and Newman called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Newman jammed all in for 211,000. Volkmann was put in a dilemma as he used two of his time banks before finally laying his hand down. Nemeth's cards quickly followed into the muck and Newman was awarded the pot.

Heung checked this time and Pardo dropped in a bet of 25,000. Heung check-raised to 60,000 and Pardo jammed all in. Heung quickly called off his stack of 174,000 and the cards were on their backs.

Pardo flopped a set with {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and had Heung in trouble with {q-Spades}{4-Spades} for two pair. The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Heung was unable to improve, sending him to the rail in the opening level of Day 2.

Just moments after eliminating the short stack of Laszlo Bujtas, Sam Greenwood was back at it with a raise to 14,000 from the hijack. He was called by Adrian Mateos and Christoph Vogelsang in the blinds.

The dealer fanned the flop of {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and the action checked to Greenwood who continued with a bet of 12,000. Mateos called and Vogelsang stepped aside.

The turn was the {q-Hearts} and Mateos check-called another bet of 60,000 from Greenwood. The {7-Hearts} paired the board on the river and Mateos checked for the third time. Greenwood pushed out a bet of 156,000, leaving just 6,000 behind. Mateos used one of his time banks and then relinquished his hand.
