Timo Kamphues Eliminated in 19th Place (£20,450)

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Timo Kamphues
Timo Kamphues

Timo Kamphues was all in for his tournament life against Martin Stausholm, with the stacks fairly even but Kamphues covered and at risk.

Timo Kamphues: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Martin Stausholm: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Kamphues was flipping with Stausholm, and the {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop looked promising for a double. The {8-Diamonds} turn gave Stausholm a straight draw, which the {10-Hearts} river completed to send Kamphues home in 19th place.

Kings for Stausholm

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Martin Stausholm and Bruno Volkmann were all-in from the blinds, with the former having his last 105,000 in the middle.

Martin Stausholm: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Bruno Volkmann: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

There was an ace in the window but Stausholm made a set on the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop and held to double after yje {3-Hearts} turn and {2-Hearts} river.

Wayne Heung Eliminated in 20th Place (£20,450)

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Wayne Heung
Wayne Heung

Just as players retuned from the break, Wayne Heung was all in for his final 55,000 chips against Marcello Marigliano.

Wayne Heung: {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Marcello Marigliano: {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Heung liked the {j-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, but was not impressed by the {10-Hearts} turn that put Marigliano ahead. The {q-Diamonds} river was no help, and Heung departed in 20th place.

Jonathan Proudfoot Eliminated in (£17,800)

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jonathan Proudfoot
Jonathan Proudfoot

Bruno Volkmann opened to 16,000 from the cutoff and was called by Jonathan Proudfoot in the big blind.

Proudfoot check-called for 8,000 on the {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop, which brought in the {q-Clubs} turn. Proudfoot check-jammed for 195,000 after Volkmann sized up to 50,000. Volkmann quickly called.

Jonathan Proudfoot: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Bruno Volkmann: {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Proudfoot had the bottom end of the straight while Volkmann was ahead with his king-high straight. Only another king would keep Proudfoot alive but the {a-Hearts} river improved Volkmann to Broadway to bring the tournament to the final 20 players.

Danny Tang Eliminated in 22nd Place (£17,800)

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Danny Tang
Danny Tang

Action was heads-up and Danny Tang had gotten the last of his chips into the middle on a board of {4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Andras Nemeth was the one to put him at risk. Both players had turned their cards up.

Danny Tang: {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Andras Nemeth: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Nemeth was ahead with three sixes and the river was {2-Spades} to seal the deal and knock Tang out in 22nd place for £17,800.

Pavel Plesuv

Pavel Plesuv committed almost all of his remaining stack, and Renan Bruschi raised the rest and the call was made.

Pavel Plesuv: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Renan Bruschi: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

"Fair fight" said Bruschi, as the {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop was dealt and each player connected with a pair. The turn {4-Hearts} and river {k-Hearts} saw Bruschi stay in front, as Plesuv was eliminated in 23rd place.
