Break Begins

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The EPT Prague €1,100 Eureka Main Event is now on a 25-minute break. The event has seen 834 entries with 599 of those remaining.

Day 1a will close when just 15% of the field remains. Late registration is open until the end of the 75-minute dinner break which begins after the completion of Level 10.

Shastun Wins Without Showdown; Lodge in Eureka Main Event

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Menny Ben-Haim opened to 1,500 from the cutoff and was called by Ivan Shastun and Murat Ilhan-Radlinger from the blinds.

Action checked to Ben-Haim on the {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and only Shastun called. The {8-Spades} turn quickly checked through to the {3-Clubs} river and Shastun hastily led out for 2,500. Ben-Haim quickly let his hand go and Shastun collected the pot.

Ilhan-Radlinger, who was a short stack, quickly bowed out after. Also at the table is one-time WSOP bracelet winner Harry Lodge, who has just under a starting stack.

Jahn Scoops One In; Teusl Hops into Eureka Main Event

Patrik Zidek opened to 1,300 from early position and was called by Moshe Eliyahi from the button. Soenke Jahn made it 6,500 to go from the small blind and only Eliyahi called.

Jahn continued for 3,500 on the {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and Eliyahi called. On the {2-Diamonds} turn, Jahn took his time before betting another 8,000. Eliyahi opted to fold his hand and Jahn raked in the pot.

As the hand played out, 2022 WSOP Ladies Championship winner Jessica Teusl joined the table.

Endo Ends Ranero's Run

Gonzalo Ranero was down to around 3,000 and got it in against Yoshikazu Endo, who had him covered.

Rychly Catches Cammisuli Speeding

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Flaviano Cammisuli opened to 1,000 from under the gun and Petr Rychly three-bet to 3,600 from the hijack. Cammisuli called.

Cammisuli checked on the flop of {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Rychly checked back. Cammisuli then took a stab on the {7-Spades} turn with a bet of 2,6000. Rychly raised to 6,000 and Cammisuli quickly folded.

Hysaj Flops Two Pair to Bust Saidovs

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Rustams Saidovs was all in and at risk in a heads-up pot against Eljano Hysaj on a flop of {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Saidovs' top pair and top kicker was no good against aces up of Hysaj and the board then finished out {9-Spades}{7-Hearts} to mark his elimination.

Gergoc Raises River

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Denis Gergoc was in the cutoff in a heads-up pot against Tomas Pinkevicius in the big blind on a board of {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

With around 15,000 already in the middle, Pinkevicius bet 11,000 and Gergoc raised to 25,000 to put his opponent all in. Pinkevicius gave it some thought and folded to hold onto his remaining 6,000.

"Tens?" Pinkevicius speculated as Gergoc refrained from revealing his holding.

Eliassen Wins with a Monster

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

In a three-way pot on a board of {9-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, Ferdinand Le Pichon and Nils Eliassen both checked and Mark McMillin bet 3,000. Both opponents called.

The turn brought the {10-Hearts} to put four to a straight on the board and Le Pichon checked. Eliassen then led out for 6,200 and McMillin and Le Pichon both folded, at which point Eliassen showed the goods with {k-Spades}{j-Spades} for the nut straight with a straight flush redraw.

"A monster!" exclaimed McMillin.
