Carlos Spoddig raised to 35,000 from the button and picked up a call from Kubanychbek Abakirov in the big blind. The flop fell {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Abakirov checked and Spoddig continued for 25,000. Abakirov check-raised to 80,000 and Spoddig called.

The turn came the {10-Hearts} and Abakirov led out for 130,000. Spoddig, who hadn't taken his eyes off his opponent during the entire hand, made the call.

The river came the {4-Diamonds} and, after using a time bank card, Abakirov led again for 220,000. Spoddig quickly called. Abakirov showed {6-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Spoddig flipped over {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a pair of kings to deal a devestating blow to Abakirov's stack.
