Thanarattrakul Fires Three Streets

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Kannapong Thanarattrakul
Kannapong Thanarattrakul

Nozomu Shimizu opened to 4,500 from early position and Kubanychbek Abakirov three-bet to 15,500 from middle position. The action folded to Kannapong Thanarattrakul, in the cutoff, who four-bet to 35,000 and the buttons and blinds folded.

The original raiser Shimizu folded and Abakirov made the call.

On a flop of {j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Abakirov check-called the 27,000 continuation-bet of Thanarattrakul and the {7-Spades} hit the turn pairing the board.

Abakirov checked again and Thanarattrakul fired out 65,000 which Abakirov called.

The river came the {8-Diamonds} and Abakirov checked for the third time. Thanarattrakul slid out his stack of time bank cards signifying he needed some time to make a decision and used four before shoving all in for his remaining 245,000 covering Abakirov.

Abakirov sat motionlessly and used four time bank cards himself before mucking his hand and awarding the pot to Thanarattrakul.

Three-Bet Inflates Pot for Wilf

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

After an under-the-gun raise, Saar Wilf reraised to 21,000 and the original raiser got out of the way before Phachara Wongwichit called.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and both players checked. Following the {10-Spades} turn, both players once again checked it back, avoiding confrontation in an already inflated pot.

The river fell {2-Diamonds} and Wilf bet out for 26,000, putting pressure on Wongwichit, who would have had to call off around a third of his stack. Wongwichit made the fold and Wilf took down the pot.

Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Kabrhel mixed it up with an early position limp, which was called by Dimar in the cut off. Pedro Marques shoved over the limpers for 41,000 and Kabrhel called.

Ognyan Dimov: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Martin Kabrhel: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The flop came {5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. No change on the board and Dimov doubled up to around 90,000.

Kabrhel's stack was depleted and he shouted over to Grafton on the next table.

"Sam, do you want to swap 10 percent?"

"Not in this tournament bro," replied Grafton. After a bit of back and forth, Grafton declared, "the answer is no!".

A few hands later, Martin Kabrhel busted out.
