Notable Bust Outs from the Field

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Kempe No More for Now

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

Julian Thomas had won a bigger pot while Rainer Kempe dropped to a short stack. Kempe then took on Gaelle Baumann in a duel button versus big blind. On the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Spades} river, Baumann checked and Kempe announced a bet of 10,900 while he had 11,000 at his disposal.

Baumann called and tabled her {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} already, thinking it was an all-in showdown as Kempe had moved forward all his eleven T-1,000 chips. "I get 100 back," Kempe told the dealer and was able to muck his cards since it was in fact no all-in showdown.

Kempe survived the next showdown but ultimately bowed out shortly after.

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Alm was drawing dead on the turn.

"Good game Sir," Tibor Szenasi mentioned in chat and currently holds the most chips on said table.

Talbots Feeling Flush

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

Action folded around to Parker Talbot, in middle position, who opened to 1,800 only for Panagiotis Gavriilidis to reraise to 5,000, in the seat to his left. All other players folded and Talbot made the call.

On the flop of {6-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, Talbot check-raised to 10,500 over Gavriilidis' 5,000 bet and Gavriilidis called to see a turn.

The turn came {8-Diamonds} and Talbot continued his aggression with a bet of 8,000 which Gavriilidis called once more.

On the {2-Spades} river Talbot bet 12,500, putting Gavriilidis all in and Gavriilidis called.

Talbot showed {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the flopped flush which Gavriilidis could not beat.

Heads-up to the {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts} turn, Paraskevas Tsokaridis checked and subsequently called a bet worth 3,000 by Benjamin Winsor. The same procedure followed on the {7-Spades} river for 12,000 and Winsor tabled the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a turned straight. Tsokaridis earned the split pot with {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} after making the same straight eventually.

Helppi bet 11,000 and Zhechev took a few seconds before he pushed all-in. No call by Helppi followed as he eyeballed the stack of Zhechev worth around 29,000 for a very brief period before folding.
