Marletta Busts to the Hands of Reusch and Frezza

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Frederik Reusch opened to 2,200 from the cutoff only for Pascal Frezza to three-bet to 11,000 from the button. The small blind folded and Giorgio Marletta looked down at this hand and four-bet all in for his remaining 27,900.

Reusch paused before announcing a five-bet to 47,200 and Frezza called for his remaining 43,000.

Both Marletta and Frezza were at risk as Reusch had both of them covered as the players showed their hands.

Giorgio Marletta: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Pascal Frezza: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Frederik Reusch: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Both Reusch and Frezza held the same hand and Marletta needed to fade for the triple-up.

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and both Reusch and Frezza made a pair of aces, eliminating Marletta from the tournament and sharing his chips.

Talbot Leads the Way; Grafton Chips Up; Lococo Goes Loco

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo
Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo

On the river of a {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} board, it checked to Sam Grafton and he bet 13,000. His opponent tank-folded and Grafton earned the pot with a smile on the face.

He is one of four PokerStars ambassadors in the field right now and Alejandro Lococo as well as Parker Talbot have more chips at their disposal. Lococo just vividly celebrated after Argentina scored the second goal but his stream is apparently on a short delay, as other players on the same table already knew the score 30 seconds earlier.

Jen Shahade is also in contention but on a shorter stack of around 19 blinds.

Huber Eliminated by Dimsa

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Stefan Huber
Stefan Huber

Lukas Dimsa scored the second high-profile knockout of the day after he took on Stefan Huber in the following all-in showdown for around 13 blinds effective.

Stefan Huber: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Lukas Dimsa: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop was bad news already for Huber, who remained ahead on the {6-Diamonds} turn. However, the {k-Hearts} river gave Dimsa two pair and the Swiss exited.

Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Cagdas Ersoy was all in for around 15,000 and Sam Grafton had him covered in the seat to his right. The rest of the table had folded and the cards were turned up.

Cagdas Ersoy: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Sam Grafton: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Ersoy turned a pair of aces to double through the PokerStars Ambassador.

Another Double for Koleckar

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

An already big pot of some 70,000 grew even bigger on the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} river when Jakub Koleckar pushed all-in for the last 13,900 and was called by Niko Soininen.

Koleckar tabled the {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a full house and Soininen was trying to muck his cards. As per all-in showdown rule, the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} were exposed and the Finn dropped below the starting stack.

Treccarichi Scores Small Double Through Lhomme

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Walter Treccarichi jammed his last 8,000 from early position and Thomas Lhomme looked him up in the button with a raise to isolate. The blinds got out of the way and action was heads up with Treccarichi at risk.

Walter Treccarichi: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Thomas Lhomme: {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and the pair of jacks was good to keep Treccarichi in the tournament.

Andras Balogh
Andras Balogh

From middle position, Andras Balogh opened to 2,200 and picked up a call from Amir Mozaffarian in the seat to his left before Juan Pardo carved out a three-bet to 6,900.

Action folded back around to Balogh who four-bet all in for 29,900 total.

Mozaffarian folded his hand and Pardo took a few moments before electing to fold as well.

Miquel Munoz Chops With Auzoux; Pudel Loses Some

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With 13,500 in the middle to the {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades}{a-Diamonds} river, Ramon Miquel Munoz bet, Gregoire Auzoux raised and the Spaniard pushed all-in. Auzoux shrugged and called all-in as he tabled the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for broadway, which chopped with the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of Miquel Munoz.

One hand later, Nils Pudel raised the button and Antonino Venneri defended the big blind. Venneri check-raised the {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop from 1,500 to 4,000 and Pudel called. Venneri bet the {q-Diamonds} turn for 7,000 and Pudel folded.

The table features two short stacks in [Removed:551] and Maria Lampropulos, who are both down to a mere ten big blinds.

Fearful Talbot Takes the Pot

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

PokerStars Ambassador Parker Talbot raised to 2,000 from the button and Panagiotis Gavriilidis called from the small blind before Roland Rokita came along from the big blind.

The flop was {6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and both of the blinds checked to Talbot, who put out a bet of 1,700. Gavriilidis called from the small blind and Rokita got out of the way for the {a-Clubs} to fall on the turn.

Gavriilidis check-called an 8,000 bet from Talbot on the turn and the river was {10-Clubs}.

Gavriilidis checked the river and Talbot commiserated over his options until he finally checked.

"I'm scared!" Talbot said as he turned over {a-Spades}{q-Spades}, but his fears were unfounded as Gavriilidis tabled {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

"I was scared," Talbot said again while laughing. "I'm on my second bullet."

Kulev Coolered by "a Fish"

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Alex Kulev
Alex Kulev

Alex Kulev was all-in with a shorter stack and Julian Thomas made the call with the far superior stack.

Alex Kulev: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Julian Thomas: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop vaulted Thomas into the lead and he further improved to two pair with the {q-Diamonds} turn. Down to two outs, Kulev also missed out on the {5-Diamonds} river and was sent to the rail.

"Please write down that the fish got me, the Austrian German fish," Kulev joked on his way out.
