Grieco Dumps His Chips to Obara

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Nicola Grieco
Nicola Grieco

Jun Obara raised to 30,000 from under the gun and Nicola Grieco called from the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Grieco check-called a bet of 35,000 from Obara.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and Grieco open-shipped all in for around 150,000. Obara snap-called and the cards were on their backs. Grieco held {7-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a pair and a straight draw while Obara was out front with {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} which changed nothing and Grieco's aggressive style finally caught up with him as he headed to the payout desk.

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Javier Gomez Zapatero
Javier Gomez Zapatero

Just before the break, a big hand took place on the time-delayed feature table.

Under the gun, Javier Gomez Zapatero had {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and he opened to 25,000. In the hijack, Reino Rasmussen picked up {a-Spades}{j-Spades} and made the call. Behind him, Antoine Saout called with {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Abel Aspas also made the call in the big blind.

The flop came out {10-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Aspas checked, Zapatero checked his combo draw, and Rasmussen bet 65,000. Saout folded, and Aspas called. Back on Zapatero, he check-raised to 150,000. Rasmussen moved all in for 297,000. Aspas got out of the way, but Zapatero made the call to head to a runout with Rasmussen at risk.

The turn was no help in the {9-Clubs}, but a pained Rasmussen watched the {3-Diamonds} hit the river to end his tournament and put Zapatero back in the chip lead.

Daci Bets River Blind, Kapnopoulos Eliminated

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With about 210,000 in the pot, the board showed {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}.

Arjel Daci bet 150,000. In position on his left, Ioannis Kapnopoulos made the call with about 180,000 behind.

Before the dealer put the river out, Daci moved a stack out to cover Kapnopoulos' remaining stack.

The {k-Hearts} hit the river. After thinking for about 30 seonds, Kapnopoulos made the call.

Daci showed {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for a flopped set to take down {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} flopped top pair of Kapnopoulos and felt him.

Saccucci Doubles Through D'Alterio

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

A completed board of {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} was spread across the felt with around 280,000 in the middle. Luigi D'Alterio checked from the big blind and Jordan Saccucci pushed out a bet of 150,000 in the cutoff. D'Alterio announced all in and Saccucci instantly called off his stack of 310,000.

D'Alterio turned over {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for trip sixes but it was no match for the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} of Saccucci which made a full house.
