Ponakovs Shoves on Badziakouski; Soyza Outruns Tsang

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Aleksejs Ponakovs
Aleksejs Ponakovs

Mikita Badziakouski limped in from the small blind before Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 27,000. Badziakouski came back with a reraise to 90,000 and Ponakovs called.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Badziakouski continued for 45,000. Ponakovs called to see the {10-Spades} fall on the turn.

Badziakouski bet another 90,000 and Ponakovs used a time bank before calling once again. The river came the {5-Clubs} and Badziakouski slowed down and checked. Ponakovs then shoved all in and Badziakouski, with around 250,000 remaining, tanked for a moment before sliding his cards in the muck.

At another table, Elton Tsang was all in for 107,000 and up against Michael Soyza. Tsang had Soyza dominated with {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} against {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Soyza rivered a flush to knock out Tsang. "GG," Tsang said as he tapped the table before heading for the exit.

Watson Puts Maximum Pressure On Addamo

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

In a pot of roughly 70,000 on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Mike Watson bet 55,000 from the hijack and was called by Michael Addamo on the button.

The turn came the {j-Hearts} and both players elected on a check. On the {8-Diamonds} river Watson took a while before sliding in a bet of 140,000, just enough to cover the stack of Addamo. After several minutes in the tank, Addamo folded and the sizable pot was shipped to the Canadian.

Greenwood Cracks Aces to Double

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Pascal Lefrancois raised to 16,000 from under the gun, then called when Sam Greenwood moved all in for around 115,000 from the cutoff.

Sam Greenwood: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Pascal Lefrancois: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Greenwood picked up some hope on the {2-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop with a pair of queens. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn was no help, but he spiked the {q-Clubs} on the river to make trips and crack Lefrancois' pocket aces.

Addamo Dodges Everything to Double

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Michael Addamo
Michael Addamo

Michael Addamo and Michael Soyza were heads-up on a board of {7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} when Addamo bet 22,000. Soyza shoved all in and Addamo, with around 45,000 remaining, tanked for a moment before sticking in the rest of his stack.

Soyza showed {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for straight and flush draws, while Addamo had {j-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a pair of threes. The river came the {10-Spades} and Addamo survived.

"I had a million outs," Soyza said as he handed over the chips.

Bad Beat Sends Petrangelo To The Exit

Level 13 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

The action was picked up when all the chips were in the middle preflop between Nick Petrangelo and Artur Martirosian. Petrangelo was the player at risk for his last roughly 90,000.

Nick Petrangelo: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Artur Martirosian: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades} and the kings for Petrangelo were still in the lead. The {9-Hearts} was also safe but when the {q-Diamonds} hit the river it was the end of the road for Petrangelo as Martirosian rivered trips to scoop the large pot.

Ponakovs Slow Plays a Monster; Mateos Exits

Level 12 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With around 75,000 in the pot on a flop of {10-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, Christoph Vogelsang bet 16,000 from the cutoff and was called by Aleksejs Ponakovs under the gun.

The turn came the {4-Clubs} and Ponakovs checked again. Vogelsang bet 42,000 and Ponakovs called once more to see the {9-Spades} on the river.

Ponakovs checked for a third time and Vogelsang checked behind. Ponakovs turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for flopped trips and Vogelsang mucked.

At another table, Adrian Mateos was eliminated in 25th place to bring the field down to three tables.

Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer moved all in from early position for his last 45,000 and was called by Daniel Dvoress next to act.

Steve O'Dwyer, {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Daniel Dvoress: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, which gave a lot of outs to chop for O'Dwyer, until the board ran out {5-Hearts} and {4-Diamonds}, giving Dvoress' pair of twos with ace-ten high the winner and sent O'Dwyer to the rail.
