Brouk Reads Hand Correctly to Double

Level 9 : Blinds 500/1,000, 100 ante

Dzhavad Abdolvand moved all in from the small blind and Tomi Brouk called off with his stack of around 26,000 in the big blind.

"Wait, let me make sure I have what I think I do," he said after calling the all in.

Tomi Brouk: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Dzhavad Abdolvand: {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}

"A classic race!" quipped Sam Grafton from the eight seat.

Brouk's queens stayed ahead as the board ran out {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} to earn him the double.

"He's got more equity, though, because there's always a chance you misread your hand!" laughed Grafton.

Orpaz Doubles Up Ferreira

Level 9 : Blinds 500/1,000, 100 ante
Tom Johnatan Or Paz
Tom Johnatan Or Paz

Tom Orpaz has been chatty and playing loose and fast all day, building a sizeable stack along the way. He finally had to give a chunk of it away recently as he got over 70,000 chips in the middle on the button against Rui Ferreira in early position on a flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Rui Ferreira: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Tom Orpaz: {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}

The board completed with the {q-Hearts} and {6-Spades} to double up Ferreira and take about a third of Orpaz's stack away from him.

Schwederle Busted by Bogdanov

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Andrija Robovic opened from under the gun and Cedric Schwederle three-bet shoved a stack of around 15,000 as the next player to act. Yulian Bogdanov then flat-called in middle position and Robovic tanked before showing {8-}{8-} and folding.

Cedric Schwederle: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Yulian Bogdanov: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Schwederle was dominated and hit the rail after the board of {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} failed to improve his hand.

Simon Mattsson and Faraz Jaka were in a blind versus blind confrontation on a board reading {5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Mattsson bet 3,100 and Jaka called.

The turn brought the {7-Spades} and Mattsson bet 13,000. Jaka again called. On the river came the {j-Hearts} and Mattsson checked. Jaka checked back. Mattsson tabled {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a flopped two pair and Jaka mucked.

The next hand, Mattsson opened on the button and Patrik Antonius defended his big blind.

Antonius checked on the flop of {9-Clubs}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Mattsson bet 1,800. Antonius called. Antonius checked again on the {a-Clubs} turn and Mattsson sized up to 5,500. The Finn again called.
