Cavailles Falls to Xanthopoulos

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Vincent Cavailles raised to 2,000 from early position and Pavlos Xanthopoulos three-bet to 6.000 from one seat over. Action folded back to Cavailles who added the remainder to call.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Spades} and Cavailles checked. Xanthopoulos bet 6,000 and Cavailles went deep into the tank then check-raised to 16,500. Xanthopoulos responded by moving all in and Cavailles quickly called for less.

Vincent Cavailles: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}
Pavlos Xanthopoulos: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Cavailles had a flush draw but Xanthopoulos had a pair of kings. The {j-Diamonds} and {j-Clubs} completed the board and Xanthopoulos took down the pot, ending Cavailles' tournament life.

Trofimov Dusts Dukic

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

After Leo Margets opened to 2,100 under the gun, [Removed:510] called in the small blind, but then Nenad Dukic squeezed to 11,000 in the big blind. Margets folded, but Trofimov opted to call.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Trofimov checked to Dukic who bet 8,000.

Trofimov called to see the {2-Clubs} fall on the turn. Again Trofimov checked and this time Dukic put forward a bet of 15,000.

Again Trofimov called, then checked a final time on the board-pairing {2-Diamonds} river.

Following Trofinov's check, Dukic stacked his final 26,000 chips up and pushed them forward, receiving a snap-call from Trofimov.

Dukic showed {k-Spades}{j-Spades} for a failed triple barrel bluff as Trofimov rolled over {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a winning full house that sent Dukic to the rail.

Orpen Kisacikoglu

On a completed board of {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, Orpen Kisacikoglu moved all in from early position. Peterson Machado thought about it and called in middle position.

Kisacikoglu flipped over {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}, while Machado showed {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for a busted flush draw which turned into top pair, but it was no good against the pocket rockets, and Machado hit the rail.

"Dangerous, very dangerous," Kisacikoglu noted regarding his opponent's flopped flush draw as he stacked his chips.

After Petr Bartagov opened in middle position, Stefan Dimitrov moved all in for his last 13,300. Bartagov called to put Dimitrov at risk.

Stefan Dimitrov: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Petr Bartagov: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

Dimitrov had Bartagov dominated until the {8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop paired Bartagov's eight.

The {10-Spades} turn and {4-Hearts} river brought Dimitrov no help and he was sent to the rail.

Quenneville Grows Stack with Overbet

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a turn board of {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} and approximately 12,000 in the pot, Bruno Volkmann checked in the big blind to Troy Quenneville under the gun.

Quenneville fired out an overbet of 17,000, which Volkmann called.

The board paired on the river with the {4-Spades} and Volkmann checked with 43,000 left in his stack. Quenneville took the safe route and opted to check back.

Volkmann showed {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for queens and fours, while Quenneville showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a winning Broadway straight.

Abernathy Gone After Getting It in Good

Samantha Abernathy

Samantha Abernathy had gotten her remaining stack in on the button and was at risk against Yazan Mdanat in the big blind.

Samantha Abernathy: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Yazan Mdanat: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Abernathy was in great shape for a double, until the dealer spread the {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop. The {4-Diamonds} turn gave her additional outs with a flush draw, but the {3-Hearts} river bricked out to send her to the rail.

"If this was a cash table, I would tip the dealer," Mdanat remarked as he collected the pot.
