Lemos Soars into Six Figures With Big Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Andrei Lemos
Andrei Lemos

After Riza Kerim raised to 1,600 in the hijack and was called by Gary Thompson in the cutoff and Sander Berndsen on the button, Andrei Lemos three-bet squeezed to 9,400 in the small blind.

Kerim and Thompson called, while Berndsen folded.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{a-Clubs} and Lemos continued for 8,400. Kerim then raised to 19,000. Thompson folded, but Lemos then moved all in with Kerim only holding about 15,000 behind.

Despite that much in the pot, Kerim went into the tank for a couple of minutes before finally letting his hand go and saving that final 15,000, while Lemos dragged a big pot to boost his stack well over the 100,000 mark.

Tsang Hits Quad Nines All In vs. Barbero's Aces

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Wozniak Mateusz opened for 1,600 from under the gun and Anson Tsang moved all in for his last 18,400 from early position. It folded around to Jose Barbero on the button, who grabbed a huge stack of blue chips worth roughly 80,000 and put them in front of him. Action folded back to Mateusz, who folded.

Anson Tsang: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Jose Barbero: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Barbero had Tsang on the ropes but the flop came {3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} to put Tsang out in the lead but gave Barbero a flush draw.

The turn was the {k-Spades} and Tsang was one card away from a full double up.

The river was the {9-Spades}, giving Tsang quad nines and Barbero was anything but happy with the outcome. "I can't win with aces today. Had aces vs. jacks, lose there. Now this. Unbelievable."

Tsukamoto Sends Reventlow to Rail

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Thiago Tsukamoto opened to 1,600 in early position and was called by three players before the action got around to Camilla Reventlow, who shoved all in for her last 16,000.

Tsukamoto then re-shoved for more to isolate, and the 2 exposed their cards, with Reventlow at risk.

Camilla Reventlow: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Thiago Tsukamoto: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Reventlow was ahead with her tens, but a queen was right in the window of the {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop. The board completed with the {5-Spades}{10-Spades} and Reventlow was eliminated as Tsukamoto was pushed the pot.

Madani Climbing Higher

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Jean-Michel Dupre raised to 1,800 from early position and Hossein Madani called from the small blind along with Ferran Canela in the big blind.

Players saw a flop of {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} that was checked through to the {9-Hearts} turn. Madani bet 2,200 and Canela folded but Dupre raised to 6,500. Madani added the remainder to call.

The {3-Clubs} filled up the board and Madani checked. Dupre fired a bet of 11,000 that Madani quickly called.

Dupre turned over {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Madani showed {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to win the pot with queens and deuces.

Bremond Holds WIth the Ladies

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On a flop of {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}, Kosumosu Yamanaka in late position checked to his heads-up opponent on the button, Cyril Bremond, who then bet 10,000.

Yamanaka then immediately raised all in, covering Bremond. Bremond snap-called and the cards were exposed.

Cyril Bremond: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Kosumosu Yamanaka: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Bremond was ahead with his queens, but any spade, king, or ace would give Yamanaka the lead. Unfortunately for him, the runout of {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} did not do it and Bremond scored a big double up.

Watson deliberated for a bit before opting to fold his hand and send the pot across the table to Kamel.
