Lampropulos on the Wrong End of Big Pot

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With approximately 20,000 in the pot already on a turn board of {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}, Daewoong Song bet 6,100 under the gun and was called by Maria Lampropulos on the button.

The river brought the {a-Hearts} and Song bet 12,000 of his remaining 12,400 chip stack.

Lampropulos pondered her decision for a bit, then opted to fold, sending the sizeable pot to Song.

Nobrega Wins Big Double with Aces

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

On a heads-up flop of {9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, Alberto Gomez led out for 5,500 into a pot of 15,200. He was then re-raised by Gabriel Nobrega when he moved all in for 26,600.

After a few moments, Gomez shrugged and made the call, putting Nobrega at risk.

Gabriel Nobrega: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Alberto Gomez: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Gomez was quite a bit behind Nobrega's aces, but the turn {j-Diamonds} gave him some outs with an open-ended straight draw. Unfortunately for him, the river {3-Hearts} was a complete blank and Nobrega was pushed the pot for a big double-up, making him the biggest stack in the room.

Xuan Liu
Xuan Liu

With 3,000 in the pot and the board reading {4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, Jon Ander Vallinas put out a bet of 1,800. While Claudio Moreira folded in the cutoff, Xuan Liu raised to 6,000 from the big blind. Vallinas called.

On the {5-Hearts} river, Liu put out another large bet, this time for 12,000. Vallinas would go into the tank for nearly two minutes before finding a call.

Liu turned over {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top two pair and took her stack to over 80,000.

Toujani Doubles Through Carriere

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Xavier Carriere raised to 900 from the cutoff and Fouad Toujani called from the big blind.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Toujani checked. Carriere bet 1,000 and Toujani responded by moving all in for 6,600. Carriere snap-called and the players turned over their hands.

Fouad Toujani: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Xavier Carriere: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The turn brought the {10-Diamonds} giving Toujani his flush and the {4-Clubs} completed the board for Toujani to rake in the pot.

Nakamura's River Call Correct, But Not Enough

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Picking action up on the river with 11,000 in the pot and a board of {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Tamon Nakamura checked to Jerry Odeen who bet 5,200.

Nakamura pondered his decision briefly before tossing in a call.

Odeen showed {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for a missed flush draw that picked up a pair of jacks on the turn.

Nakamura shook his head slightly then mucked his hand, likely expecting that he was calling a missed flush draw, but he did so with a hand worse than Odeen's winning pair of jacks.

Couch Makes the Right Call

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Cameron Couch opened to 1,000 from mid-position and Michel Leibgorin called from the small blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} on which Leibgorin check-called a bet of 1,000 from Couch.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and was checked around to the {8-Diamonds} river. This time, Leibgorin led out with a bet of 1,600 that Couch called.

Leibgorin turned {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} for ace-high but Couch revealed {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} to win the pot with fives and deuces.

Escote Scores Double-Up

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Felipe Machado got it all in preflop for his last 6,300 against Sergi Escote, who covered.

Sergi Escote: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Felipe Machado: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Escote was a favorite going in, but the flop of {j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} made him an even greater favorite as he flopped top set. The runout of {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds} did not help Machado and Escote secured a double-up.
