Romera's Kicker Plays

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Ho Yin Lee raised to 300 from the button and Ignacio Romera called from the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} on which Romera check-called a bet of 300 from Lee.

The turn brought the {a-Hearts} and Romera check-called another bet of 1,100 from Lee.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board, and this time, both players checked.

Lee showed {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} but Romera turned over {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} to win the pot with his better kicker.

Oliver Lets it Go on the River

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Raul Bonilla opened to 300 from the hijack and Lukas Zaskodny bumped it up to 1,000 from the cutoff. Brandon Mifsud called from the button along with Jack Oliver in the small blind. Bonilla stuck around with a call as well.

Players saw a flop of {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and action was checked to Zaskodny who bet 3,000. Oliver was the only caller.

The turn brought the {6-Hearts} and Oliver check-called another bet of 6,500 from Zaskodny.

The {10-Spades} filled up the river and Oliver checked once more. Zaskodny fired 15,000 and Oliver with 11,000 behind, went deep into the tank for his tournament life but opted to let it go.
