Pandilica Ousted on Bad Beat

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Florin Pandilica had gotten his stack of approximately 220,000 in from the small blind and was at risk against Jerwin Pasco on the button.

Florin Pandilica: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Jerwin Pasco: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Pandilica was in great shape with his cowboys, although the {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop provided a sweat. The {q-Clubs} spiked the turn to leave Pandilica needing the case king, but the {a-Spades} completed the board to eliminate him on the tough beat.

Aces Versus Kings Sends Dattani Out, Baumann Over Two Million

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Gaelle Baumann
Gaelle Baumann

An enormous pile of chips was in the middle as Michel Dattani was all in for around 950,000 from the cutoff and up against Gaelle Baumann in early position, who had him covered.

Michel Dattani: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Gaelle Baumann: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Baumann was the beneficiary of the massive cooler as she now sits with more than 2,000,000 chips. Dattani, meanwhile, saw his tournament come to an end in a cruel fashion.

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Maria Lampropulos
Maria Lampropulos

Maria Lampropulos opened to 24,000 from the hijack and Ameer Wakil defended the big blind.

The dealer fanned out the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and Wakil check-called for 25,000, while both players checked the {2-Hearts} turn.

The {10-Clubs} completed the board and Wakil led for a bet of 16,000. Lampropulos briefly deliberated and softly uttered a verbal raise. Wakil thought about it but folded to concede the pot to the Argentinian.

Buonanno Takes Three-Way Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Antonio Buonanno opened the action from middle position to 30,000 and only Ryhor Karapanau and Wojciech Szczytkowski made the call from the blinds.

The flop came {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Karapanau and Szczytkowski both checked to Buonanno who continued for 30,000, which only Karapanau called.

On the {9-Clubs} turn Karapanau checked and Buonanno kept up the aggression with a bet of 65,000. After little thought, Karapanau folded and the pot was shipped to the Italian.

Lijo Shoves on Liu

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Lander Lijo raised to 25,000 in early position and Xuan Liu reraised to 90,000 from the small blind. Lijo called to see the {8-Hearts}{q-Spades}{3-Spades} flop.

Liu continued for 40,000 and Lijo stuck around as the {7-Clubs} fell on the turn. Liu bet another 80,000 and Lijo again called.

The river was the {2-Spades} and Liu slowed down and checked. Lijo then announced all in, having Liu's remaining 250,000 well covered, and she quickly folded.

An Orbit With Liu

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Xuan Liu
Xuan Liu

Xuan Liu is one of the last women standing in the €5,300 EPT Main Event, so PokerNews spent an orbit with the accomplished pro, who made history a decade ago by becoming the first woman to make the final table of a PCA Main Event.

Hand #1 (UTG+1): Liu was second to act and opened to 25,000 before Alexandre Vuilleumier three-bet jammed a stack of around 400,000 from the big blind. Liu laid it down.

Hand #2 (Under the Gun): Liu was first to act and folded.

Hand #3 (Big Blind): Sergi Panella Navarro raised to 25,000 in early position and Liu defended to see a flop heads-up. Liu checked on the flop of {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Navarro continued for 18,000. Liu folded.

Hand #4 (Small Blind): Day 2 chip leader Kayhan Mokri opened to 25,000 from the hijack and everyone folded, including Liu.

Hand #5 (Button): Navarro opened to 24,000 from under the gun and Vuilleumier three-bet jammed before Liu folded.

Hand #6 (Cutoff): Da Silva raised to 24,000 from under the gun. Mokri three-bet to 60,000 and Liu folded. Da Silva ended up four-bet jamming with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and getting called by the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} of Mokri before the two chopped the pot.

Hand #7 (Hijack): The action folded to Liu and she followed suit.

Hand #8 (Lojack): Vuilleumier opened to 24,000 from under the gun and Liu flat-called, while Mokri also called from the big blind. The flop landed {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Mokri and Vuilleumier both checked. Liu took a stab with a bet of 20,000 and both opponents folded.

Machado Wins a Monster to Take Massive Chip Lead

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Peterson Machado
Peterson Machado

Peterson Machado raised to 25,000 in early position and was called by Ramiro Petrone on the button. In the small blind, Claudio Di Giacomo three-bet to 140,000 and Machado called, while Petrone got out of the way.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} and Di Giacomo continued for 55,000. Machado put in a raise to 140,000 and Di Giacomo called as the turn came the {5-Diamonds}.

Di Giacomo shoved all in for 760,000 and Machado snap-called with {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for the straight. Di Giacomo could only show {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a smaller straight and was drawing to a chop but couldn't connect with the {10-Diamonds} river and headed to the rail.

Machado raked in the biggest pot of the tournament and is now sitting on more than 3,000,000.

"He wants the tournament to end today. He has a plane to catch," a tablemate joked.

Moolhuizen Hits The Rail

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Mateusz Moolhuizen
Mateusz Moolhuizen

Mateusz Moolhuizen moved all in from early position and it folded around to Wojciech Szczytkowski in the big blind who looked down at one card and quickly made the call.

Mateusz Moolhuizen: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Wojciech Szczytkowski: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

"Next one will be expensive guys," said Moolhuizen as he foreshadowed a double up. Unfortunately for him his wish didn't come true when the board ran out {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, and he exited in 108th place.
