Mokri Picks Up Kings For a Huge Double

Level 31 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Kayhan Mokri
Kayhan Mokri

Kayhan Mokri looked down at {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} from early position and raised to 320,000. Michael Pinto defended the big blind with {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and they saw a flop of {3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Pinto checked and Mokri continued for 300,000. Pinto flopped top pair and used a time bank card before raising to 1,300,000. Mokri counted out his stack and used his own time bank before shoving all in for 3,720,000.

Pinto took off his sunglasses and went into the tank for a moment before calling. Needing help to pick up the knockout, the {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} turn and river were safe for Mokri and he doubled up to more than 8,000,000 after coming into the final table as the short stack.
