Cristea Drops Some More

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

A few hands after doubling up Paul Fischill, Valentin Cristea raised to 165,000 on the button and was called by big blind Maher Nouira.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Cristea bet 125,000. Nouira check-called to the {6-Clubs} turn, and both players checked.

The river came the {2-Clubs} and Nouira checked again. Cristea took his time before betting another 200,000 and Nouira snap-called.

Cristea turned over {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, but Nouira had him beat with {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of nines to take the pot.

Lucas Silva Rocha Eliminated in 14th Place (€81,450)

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Lucas Silva Rocha
Lucas Silva Rocha

Lucas Silva Rocha raised to 425,000 in the hijack, leaving only 220,000 behind, and Jimmy Guerrero raised in the big blind to put Rocha all in. Rocha called for his remaining chips.

Lucas Silva Rocha: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}
Jimmy Guerrero: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

The two were off to the races, and the {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop gave Rocha additional counterfeit outs. The {2-Diamonds} turn changed absolutely nothing, however, and the {8-Clubs} river confirmed the Brazilian's elimination as he shook hands with his opponents before embracing his rail while he made his exit in 14th place for €81,450.

Guerrero Adds More From Mokri

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jimmy Guerrero opened to 180,000 on the button with {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Kayhan Mokri three-bet to 650,000 in the big blind with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Guerrero called.

The flop fell {9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, Mokri led for 460,000, and Guerrero called.

The {8-Spades} landed on turn and Mokri check-called for 875,000, while both players checked the {j-Spades} river.

Guerrero tabled his hand and claimed the pot with his rivered pair of jacks.

Jack Salter
Jack Salter

Patrik Jaros raised to 160,000 from the button. Jack Salter, in the small blind, sat motionless for a few seconds before announcing he was all in for around 1,300,000. Jaros snap-called when action folded back around to him.

Jack Salter: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Patrik Jaros: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

"I think I can do it," Salter said when he saw the amount of trouble he was in. The flop came {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}, no help to Salter.

"King, then jack of clubs," Salter pleaded, but the turn instead came the {9-Hearts} and he was already drawing dead. The meaningless river came the {10-Spades} and Salter headed to the rail in 15th place.

Tigran Harutyunyan: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Jimmy Guerrero: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop brought some chop outs, but the {6-Spades} turn and {4-Hearts} river kept Guerrero ahead with his superior kicker, and Harutyunyan was eliminated in 16th place for €67,790.

Keeping Pots Small

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Bruno Pega raised to 165,000 from early position and Paul Fischill defended his big blind.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Fischill checked over to Pega, who continued for 80,000. Fischill called and the turn came the {j-Clubs}.

Both players checked to the {a-Clubs} river. Fischill again tapped the felt, and Pega paused for a moment before checking behind. He showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the turned pair of jacks and Fischill flashed {k-}{q-} before mucking.

A few hands earlier, Patrik Jaros raised to 160,000 on the button and Maher Nouira shoved all in for around 1,500,000 in the big blind.

Jaros folded and Nouira showed a jack as the players continue to feel each other out here at the start of Day 5.

Guerrero Flops Straight to Double

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Jimmy Guerrero
Jimmy Guerrero

Jimmy Guerrero moved all in for 1,160,000 from early position and Michael Pinto called in the big blind.

Jimmy Guerrero: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Michael Pinto: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Guerrero was behind with live cards, but the dealer fanned out the {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop to instantly give Guerrero a straight as he jumped out of his seat at the sight of the fortunate flop. The {4-Hearts} turn locked up the pot for him, and the meaningless {q-Diamonds} river confirmed the Frenchman's double.
