Dvoress Virtually Doubles Off Thorel

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 3,500 from the hijack before Jean-Noel Thorel reraised to 13,500 in the cutoff. In the small blind, Daniel Dvoress made it 42,000.

Vogelsang folded but Thorel stuck around to see the {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop. Dvoress bet another 20,000 and Thorel called again.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Dvoress bet 75,000 this time. Thorel called as the river fell the {3-Diamonds}, when Dvoress bet 142,000, leaving a red 500 chip behind.

Thorel quickly called and Dvoress showed {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for top pair. Thorel turned over {a-Spades}{q-Spades} before mucking.

"Missed value," tablemate Tom Orpaz said pointing to Dvoress' remaining chip as he dragged in the pot.

Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Byron Kaverman opened to 4,000 from under the gun and next to act was Ben Heath who three-bet to 13,500. The rest of the table got out of the way and Kaverman called.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Kaverman check-called a bet of 7,500 from Heath. Both players checked their options on the {5-Hearts} turn.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board and Kaverman once again checked. Heath took a moment before announcing a bet of 22,500. Kaverman pondered for a short while before letting his cards go, and the pot was sent to Heath.

Christoph Vogelsang opened the action to 3,500 from the hijack and was called by both Tom Orpaz and Linus Loeliger in the blinds.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Spades}, Orpaz and Loeliger checked to Vogelsang who continued for 4,500. Orpaz called from the small blind and Loeliger elected on a check-raise to 24,000. Vogelsang folded quickly and after a moment Orpaz folded as well.

"Two pair is good", said Orpaz while Loeliger scooped in the pot. Loeliger checked his cards again and turned over the {8-Spades} to keep the table guessing.

Four players saw a flop of {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs} when Teun Mulder bet 5,000 from the button. Kent Staahle min-raised to 10,000 and the rest of the table got out of the way, while Mulder called.

The turn came the {4-Diamonds} and Staahle checked. Mulder bet 20,000 and Staahle just called this time.

Staahle took the lead on the {8-Diamonds} river with a bet of 45,000 and Mulder quickly called. Staahle showed {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for the rivered straight as he took down the pot.

"It was a bluff in the beginning and then it came nice," Staahle said after the hand as he stacked up around 500,000.
