Naveiro Has the Better Kicker

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Heads-up on a flop of {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades}, Martin Naveiro bet 4,000 before Nicholas Sjogren raised to 11,000 from the big blind.

Naveiro called, then called another bet of 13,000 on the {j-Spades} turn. The river came the {q-Hearts} and Sjogren bet 13,000 once again.

Naveiro quickly called as Sjogren turned over {j-Clubs}{9-Spades} for two pair, jacks and nines. Naveiro showed {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for the same two pair with an ace kicker to take down the pot.

Bonanata Talked Into Showing

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Marcelo Bonanata and Pawel Brzeski built a pot of around 80,000 heading to the turn on a board of {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Brzeszki checked and Bonanata, on the button, shoved for around 50,000. Brzeszki went into the tank for a few minutes before deciding to fold.

As Brzeski tossed his cards into the muck, Bonanata put his hand over his chest and let out a deep sigh of relief.

"Show. Show. Show," the rest of the table implored and Bonanata turned over {4-Spades}{3-Spades} for a straight draw.

Vial Makes a Reluctant Call With Kings

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Nenad Dukic three-bet to 7,500 from early position and Romain Vial, under the gun, re-raised to 18,500. Dukic then moved all in.

Vial leaned back in his chair and let out a sigh before calling, showing {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}. He turned out to be well out in front of Dukic's {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Dukic hit top pair on the {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop but improved no further on the {6-Hearts}{9-Hearts} turn and river as Vial's kings held up. The stacks were counted down and Vial had 79,000 remaining, leaving Dukic with just a few thousand.

"Why were you unhappy," Dukic asked after the hand.

Kulev Hits River & Leaves Rosner on Life Support

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

On a flop of {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, heads-up opponents Alex Kulev and Floyd Rosner got all their chips into the middle, with Kulev at risk.

Alex Kulev: {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Floyd Rosner: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Rosner was way ahead with his eights, but the runout was brutal as the {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} gave Kulev a straight on the river.

Kayhan Roshanfekr: {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Lijo Not Confident About His Hand

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Lander Lijo raised to 3,000 from early position and was called by Arya Tasbihi in the big blind. Both players checked the {3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop.

Tasbihi led out for 3,000 when the turn came the {2-Hearts} and Lijo called. The river came the {4-Clubs} and Tasbihi continued betting, this time for 7,500.

Lijo went to put in his chips to call and at the same time stuck his cards in the middle as he prepared to muck them. Tasbihi showed {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of eights and Lijo's cards did hit the muck.

"Write this down. I'm a bad player," Tasbihi said after the hand.
