Mateos Goes from Chopping to Out

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Adrian Mateos raised to 4,000 from under the gun and was called by Thomas Muehloecker a couple of seats over. Conor Beresford three-bet to 19,000 in the small blind and Mateos four-bet shoved all in for just over 50,000. Muehloecker folded but Beresford quickly called.

Adrian Mateos: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Conor Beresford: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

It looked inevitable that the two would chop up the pot, but the flop of {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} gave Beresford the freeroll. The {q-Hearts} on the turn gave Beresford the flush right away and the {4-Clubs} on the river was insignificant.

Dimov Shoves on Staahle

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Dominik Nitsche raised to 4,000 from under the gun and both Kent Staahle in the hijack and Ognyan Dimov in the big blind made the call.

The flop came {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, Dimov checked, Nitsche continued with a bet of 4,000, Staahle raised to 9,000, and both Dimov and Nitsche came along for the ride.

The turn was the {a-Clubs} for it to check to Staahle. He fired a bet of 16,000 out for Dimov to shove for around 33,000. Nitsche folded immediately but Staahle considered it for a bit before giving up in the end.

Eights Are Good for Kolonias

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 4,000 from under the gun and Alexandros Kolonias was the only one to make the call from the middle position.

The flop came {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, Chidwick check-called the 4,000 bet of Kolonias.

They both checked through the {9-Spades} on the turn to the {k-Diamonds} on the river. They both opted to check again. Chidwick tabled the {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for ace-high for Kolonias to claim the pot with the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} he showed.

Kitai Out-Kicks Lefrancois

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Davidi Kitai raised in early position and was called by Fabrice Maltez in the cutoff and Pascal Lefrancois in the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Kitai continued for 6,500 which both players called.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Lefrancois checked to Kitai again who bet 20,000 this time. Maltez folded but Lefrancois stuck around to see the {3-Spades} on the river. Lefrancois checked for the third time and Kitai opted to check it back. Lefrancois showed {q-Spades}{8-Hearts} for top pair but Kitai held {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for the better kicker.

Nitsche Flips Tkatschew to the Rail

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The action folded around to Alexander Tkatschew on the button who raised it up. Dominik Nitsche stuck in a three-bet from the small blind and Tkatschew four-bet shoved all in for just under 60,000. Nitsche quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Alexander Tkatschew: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Dominik Nitsche: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Nitsche took the lead with a pair of aces. The {3-Clubs} on the turn gave Tkatschew a flush draw but the {q-Diamonds} on the river bricked out, sending him to the rail.
