Toma Flipped To The Rail by Vieira

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Dimitar Danchev opened the action with a raise to 4,000 from under the gun. Tsugunari Toma then pushed for 29,500 in the hijack and Joao Vieira asked for an exact count in the cutoff to then call. All opponents including Danchev got out of the way and the following showdown emerged.

Tsugunari Toma: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Joao Vieira: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

None of the paint cards appeared on the {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop and {2-Clubs} turn. The {k-Diamonds} river was of no help to Toma either and he re-entered shortly after.

Vieira is among the chip leaders and currently only trails Toma's countryman Motoyoshi Okamura.

Selouan Doubles Through Guerrero

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

After defending his big blind against table short stack Rodrigo Selouan, Jimmy Guerrero got it in following the {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop. He was ahead with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the bottom two pair as Selouan only tabled the {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

The {j-Diamonds} turn improved Selouan to a straight and the {k-Diamonds} river changed nothing anymore to keep the Brazilian in the mix with just over half the starting stack.

Ognyan Dimov
Ognyan Dimov

Farid Jattin in the big blind bet the {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} turn for 6,000 and earned a call from Ognyan Dimov in the hijack. Both headed to the {8-Spades} river on which Jattin used the full 30 second shot clock before checking. Dimov then bet and Jattin gave up the pot.

Double Knockout for Kolev

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

"Are we playing four-handed?" Imad Derwiche inquired with the tournament staff. His table had just lost three players in quick succession and two of them were knocked out in the same hand. Apparently, Vicent Bosca Ramon had been all-in with a severe short stack holding the {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}. Thomas Muehloecker reshoved with the {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Boris Kolev looked them both up with the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and the kicker played for Kolev to eliminate two opponents.

Nemeth Eliminated From the Tournament

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Andras Nemeth has become the first player to bow out for the second time and that means he won't be allowed to enter anymore. The tournament only features a single re-entry option and Nemeth was ousted soon after returning for the second bullet.

On his former table, Bruno Volkmann now has nearly two times the starting stack at his disposal and appears to have scored the knockout. Koray Aldemir has been eliminated as well while Vicent Bosca Ramon re-entered in the last few minutes.

Gahl Eliminated by Lyubovetskiy

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Three ways to the {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts} turn, Sebastian Gahl bet 5,500 out of the big blind. Andriy Lyubovetskiy raised to 15,000 from one seat over and Sam Greenwood folded on the button. Gahl moved all-in for what appeared to be just shy of 30,000 and Lyubovetskiy called.

Sebastian Gahl: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Andriy Lyubovetskiy: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The kicker played a crucial role as the {10-Clubs} river brought no help, sending Gahl to the rail.

Guerrero Doubles Through Okamura

Level 7 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

With plenty of chips already in the middle and the turn showing {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, Jimmy Guerrero had checked from under the gun. Motoyoshi Okamura then tossed in two green T-25,000 chips on the button and Guerrero called all-in.

Jimmy Guerrero: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Motoyoshi Okamura: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The {j-Clubs} on the river was a blank and Guerrero doubled for 49,000.
