Wenzel Still Alive

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

We joined the action on a 278 flop, as both Guoliang Wei and Benedikt Wenzel opted to check.

The turn was a 4, and Wei in the small blind once again decided to check. Wenzel took the initiative and bet 1,600, but was unsuccessful in his attempt to take it down on the turn as Wei made the call.

On the river, the 9 hit and this time, Wei lead out for 3,300. After thinking it over for a few seconds, Wenzel called, prompting an instant muck from Wei, who chose not to show the (presumed) bluff.

Wenzel remained below starting stack but won some much-needed chips.

Philipp Hasenburger
Philipp Hasenburger

With the player in the big blind absent, Philipp Hasenburger had his eye on the dead money in the middle. Hasenburger raised to 1,600, finding Mykola Serhiienko in the small blind, who called.

Serhiienko check-called a bet of 1,500 from Hasenburger on a flop of 3AQ.

The 9 turn checked through to the K on the river. Serhiienko checked once more and Hasenburger flicked in one green chip for a bet of 5,000. Serhiienko folded.

Pulido In Front by the River

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Alexandre Ghiazza raised from the button to 2,000, finding calls from both the blinds.

All three players checked through to a turn as the board read 4A96. Francisco Pulido, in the small blind, elected to lead for 3,200. Only Ghiazza continued.

The 10 river saw Pulido slow down. Ghiazza opted to check back and Pulido was obliged to show first.

Pulido tabled J10 having missed his flush draw, but his rivered pair was enough to take down this pot.

Dan Heimiller
Dan Heimiller

Dan Heimiller opened to 1,600 from early position. He received a call from a player in middle position before Yann Festal put in a three-bet to 5,300 in late position. Patrick Buchmann responded by moving all in for approximately 9,000. Action folded back around to Heimiller, who five-bet to 21,800. The middle position player got out of the way and Festal made the call.

The flop came J66. Heimiller bet 5,000 and was called by Festal.

Heimiller bet again on the 6 turn, this time for 7,000 which was enough to force a fold from Festal, leaving Buchmann all in and at risk against Heimiller.

Dan Heimiller: 77

Buchmann was well ahead with a bigger full house and remained so on the 2 river to receive a full triple up.
