One Lucky River, One Massive Cooler

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With around 15,000 in the pot on a board of Q72K, Giulio D'Ambrosio got his last 20,000 in the middle against Jeroen Leuver.

D'Ambrosio had A10 for a straight draw and a flush draw, while Leuver showed AQ for a pair of queens. D'Ambrosio pleaded for the J, but the 6 that did fall was just as good as he completed his flush to double up.

At the same time at an adjacent table, Robin Groenlie was all in on a flop of 82Q and up against Janne Nevalainen.

Robin Groenlie: 88
Janne Nevalainen: QQ

Groenlie got his money in with a flopped set, but found out the bad news as Nevalainen showed him a higher set. The board ran out 310 and Groenlie was sent to the rail.

D'Alterio Makes the Right Call

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Luigi D'Alterio raised to 3,000 from under the gun, then called when Joaquin Subirada three-bet to 7,500 in the hijack.

Both players checked the JJ9 flop and D'Alterio also checked the 6 turn. Subirada bet out 4,500 and D'Alterio called.

The river came the A and Subirada shoved all in for 22,000. D'Alterio picked up some of his chips and began twirling them between his fingers as he tanked for nearly three minutes before calling.

Subirada tossed his KQ into the middle of the table and got up from his seat as D'Alterio showed A9 to send him to the rail.
