With around 4,500 in the middle, Dzianis Varlamau and Luigi D'Alterio went heads-up to a flop of 7♦8♦9♣. Both players checked and the 10♠ fell on the turn.

Varlamau then bet 1,500 from early position and D'Alterio called on the button. The river came the 10♥ and Varlamau fired out another 2,800.

D'Alterio quickly called and Varlamau showed A♣K♥ for just ace-high. D'Alterio turned over J♥J♦ for a straight as he won the pot.

Heads-up on a board of J♠4♠4♥3♥, Antti Nevalainen bet 6,000 from the big blind and Wai Kit Chung called in the cutoff.

The river came the A♣ and Nevalainen tossed in a blue 5,000 chip, announcing a bet of 2,500. Chung confirmed the amount before he moved all in.

Nevalainen, with 13,000 remaining, quickly tossed his cards away.

Levon Donabedian limped in from late position, before Alessandro De Michele made it 600. Vladimir Lipnitskii called from the big blind and so too did Donabedian, making it three ways to the flop.

It came out A♣3♥4♦ and Lipnitskii acted first with a check. Donabedian checked as well, before De Michele led out for 1,000. That was enough to get Lipnitskii out of the hand, but Donabedian stayed around and made the call.

He checked again on the K♠ turn, but was again bet into by the Italian who made it 2,500. Donebedian called.

The A♥river proved to- be an interesting one. Donebedian checked for a third street, but turned aggressor after De Michele bet 8,600. The Frenchman quickly raised to 20, but was snap-called by De Michele who turned over 3♦3♣ for a full house. Donabedian could only table A♠10♠ for trip aces, leaving him on the brink of an early elimination.

Vladimir Lipnitskii and Martins Sulte were heads-up on a completed board of 4♥3♥7♠9♦6♦ and around 20,000 in the pot when Sulte, in the hijack, moved all in for 17,000.

Lipnitskii tanked for around a minute before he called as Sulte showed J♥10♥ for a missed straight draw. Lipnitskii turned over A♥9♠ for a pair of nines and sent Sulte to the rail early on Day 1g.

Antala Slams Down the Winner

Three-handed on a flop of 7♠5♦K♠, Ivan Antala bet 2,200 on the button before Borgki Biba, in the cutoff, raised to 8,000. Antala called to see the 7♣ turn.

Biba then led out for 6,000 and Antala quickly called. The river came the 8♦ and Biba slowed down and checked.

Antala slammed down his A♦K♣ for two pair and Biba mucked. "I was hoping you would bang on that," Antala said, pounding on the table with his hand.

"I thought you had a bigger hand than that," he continued as he stacked up the chips.

Philippe Foly raised to 600 from middle position. Cedric Chevalme then reraised it to 1,800 and was called.

The flop came 3♣A♦2♦ and both players checked.

The 5♥ turn also saw no action.

By the time the 6♣ river landed, both players had seemingly given up on the pot as they both checked for a third time.

Foly announced 'Queen-high' to the table, showing Q♣J♠, and was happy to see his fellow Frenchman muck his hand.
